Our hardest working five year old has been making huge progress! 😍 I'd be lying if I didn't say I wasn't discouraged when he turned five and still wasn't talking despite being in therapy since he was two & in ABA therapy (35+ hours a week, 45 min away) for almost two years now. But last week his amazing therapist sent me a video of him mimicking sounds. Today she sent me this one of Kane trying to sing along! 😭❤️😍 This makes it all worth it! We're so unbelievably proud of him & thankful for the amazing team at @hopebridge360 that continue to push & believe in him! Keep moving mountains Angel❤️ #kanecolebruce #viral by @nicolelbruce

Happy 10th birthday to our first born, Kane! 🥹😭🥳 Daddy had to work today so we didn’t do our usual birthday trip to the trampoline park but Kane did get the sweetest surprise visit from his former teacher, Ms. Bertha! Ms Bertha’s last day😭❤️🥹 For the last three years Ms Bertha has been by Kane’s side & what a blessing she’s been! Working with kiddos like Kane who are not able to communicate can be a challenge but never once did she ever complain. Every single day was a good day and was always so excited to see Kane! Even on the weekends & summer break she’d check in to see how he was doing, she’d ask if he’s eating, sleeping okay. She’d tell me when I needed to pack Kane healthier snacks and in the winter she’d remind me to send him in warmer clothes or let me know when she thought his shoes her too small😆❤️ We are going to miss her sooo much! But beyond excited for her to have a baby that we’ve been praying for over the last three years!🥹💙🙌🙏 We LOVE you Ms Bertha! You will forever have a special place in our hearts! Barrett hit his first home run last night!!! We’re so proud! He never thought he could do it, but he finally did! Over the winter Ben signed Barrett up for baseball and honestly, I was nervous because I didn’t think we could commit to it as a family, but we decided to make it a family affair. We do our best to show up to all of Barrett’s practices and games as a family, and it has been so rewarding. Kane has worked so hard at sitting through long practices and games. He doesn’t always make it through them, but he tries his best and he has made so much progress. And Cami has loved every minute of playing with the kids on the sideline.
