🎬✨ Throwback to one of my favorite auditions ever! ✨🎬

I had the incredible opportunity to audition for the role of Whitney Houston in one of the TV biopics about her life. I made it really far in the process and was put on avail for the role—which means I was one of the final choices! Ultimately, I didn’t book it, but the experience remains one of my most cherished auditions.

Right now, I’m in an interesting place with my acting career. For the first time in my 14-year journey, I’m not auditioning by choice. Other talents in my life, like singing and entrepreneurship, are taking the forefront. This shift has been challenging for me, as I know what I ultimately want to achieve in my acting career, but the next steps are not quite clear.

The film and TV industry is undergoing many changes, so I’m on pause until my intuition aligns with my next move. Until my next project, I’ll be posting clips from past auditions and bookings to uncover the hidden messages within me all along.

Will you indulge me and join me on this journey? 🎥💖

Special thanks to my agents at the time of this booking for putting amazing opportunities in front of me! You were and always will be a huge part of my acting journey! @landrumartsla

Thank you to my current manager for being a ride or die for my vision! @davidachanel @etcandcompanyla

Today is the Cancer New Moon 🦀♋️🌕

Many of us spend so much time focused on the next goal, the next opportunity, the next thing we need to accomplish. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, this moon is asking something different from us…

It’s simply inviting you to acknowledge and ask yourself …

WHAT DO I NEED?

NOT what does everyone else need from me.

What do you need to feel supported right now?

Cancer is the energy of home. Of nourishment. Of emotional safety. Of the people, places, and practices that remind you who you are when the world gets loud.

This moon is a your reminder that you can’t keep pouring from an empty cup.

It’s inviting you to create a live that actually feel good to live.

To build a home that feels like peace.
To cultivate relationships where you can soften.
To create rituals that help regulate your nervous system.
To remember that receiving support is just as important as giving it.

One of my favorite ways celebrate the New Moon & Full Moon is with a Goddess Bath.

Nothing elaborate. Just warm water, Epsom salt, a few rose petals, maybe a little lavender, a candle, and a quiet moment to check in with myself.

If this moon has a message, I think it’s this:

You don’t have to earn rest.
You don’t have to earn care.
You don’t have to earn being supported.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is come home to yourself. 🌑🛁🤍

How are you celebrating this new moon?

This 4th of July 🇺🇸, I’ve been tinking about the, complicated and bold vision behind the Declaration of Independence

The idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 🎇

I’m so Inspired by the new @netflix documentary
The American Experiment it reminded me that our fight for freedom is never finished.

It’s messy, it’s imperfect but the beauty is, we have the power and legal rights to keep fighting for freedom.

Today, I’m celebrating that right—the space to challenge, grow, and fight for freedom for everyone.

Okay, y’all when was the last time you heard of a middle school reunion?

Marion Central Catholic Middle School Class 2001 made it happen!

Seeing everyone after all these years was so joyful. I had to share these moments because it’s not every day you get to reconnect with your middle school class and trust me, a time was had!!

Full Moon in Capricorn Today ♑️

I’ve been sitting with this moon for the last few days and this is not a manifestation moon it’s definitely more of a reflection moon.

Capricorn energy asks this question:

What am I actually building?

Not what am I talking about building.
Not what do I wish I was doing.
What am I building with my time, my energy, my attention, my choices?

Because your life is the sum of the choices you make.

For me, Capricorn always brings me back to the long game.

Legacy.
Integrity.
My word as bond.

Tonight I invite you to end the day with a Goddess Bath, some epsom salt, rosemary, maybe a candle, and a few questions:

What am I proud of from the last six months?

What feels complete?

What am I ready to put down so I can move forward a little lighter?

Post Surgery FIT CHECK ✨

It’s wild how quickly my body has shifted 4 weeks post surgery.

Looking at my belly before surgery and looking at it now feels like night and day. Not just in how it looks, but in how I feel.

I finally feel like me again.
I have more energy.
I feel lighter.

Not only because the fibroids were physically adding weight to my body and stretching my uterus and abdomen, but because I didn’t realize how much they were impacting my quality of life until they were gone.

Admittedly my healing journey didn’t start on the day of surgery.
It started months before.

I spent the six months leading up to surgery learning how to support my body in ways I never had before. I learned about hormone balancing, personalized nutrition optimizations, counting my macros, eating for my dosha and blood type, recovery protocols, getting back to my nervous system regulation protocols, and what my body actually needed to thrive in general.

In many ways, these fibroids led me to the deepest connection I’ve ever had with my body.

The deepest understanding of how to nourish myself.

How to advocate for myself in the health system.

And while I would never wish this journey on anyone, I am grateful for everything it taught me.

To any woman navigating fibroids, PCOS, endometriosis, cysts, hormone challenges, surgery decisions, fertility concerns, or simply feeling unheard in the healthcare system:
I see you.
I hear you.
You are not alone.

It took me 4 years to find the care team, information, and path that felt aligned for me.

That’s one of the reasons I’ve decided to share this journey publicly.

Because I know there are women suffering in silence right now who need hope, support, information, or simply someone saying, “I’ve been there too.”

So if that’s you, this is your reminder:
Keep advocating for yourself.
Keep asking questions.
Keep listening to your body.
And keep believing that healing is possible.

This past weekend, I attended a balloon release ceremony for my industry friend, @mike_luchini Michael Forrest. 🤍🎈

It was a bittersweet experience.

We gathered to celebrate the life of an incredible human, artist, and actor gone far too soon. A bright light. A gifted performer. A soul whose presence left an impact on so many.

As we stood together remembering Mike, something else happened.

Actors, artists, and friends who hadn’t seen each other in years found themselves reconnecting. Sharing stories. Laughing. Hugging. Remembering.

Many of us talked about how Mike’s passing became the catalyst for bringing people back together.

It was a powerful reminder of the importance of community and of what we do as artists.

A reminder that time is precious.

That none of us are promised tomorrow.

That every day we wake up is another opportunity to live fully, love deeply, create boldly, and become the best version of ourselves.

Mike, thank you for that reminder.

You and I met right before I moved to California. Though life took us on different paths, we stayed connected through the years, and I feel grateful to have known you.

Thank you for your talent, your light and the impact you made on so many lives.

I hope you’re flying high and continuing to shine wherever you are.

Please keep watching over all of us.

Until we meet again. 🤍✨ taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @nicolelovince

This was the catalyst event that had me be a full yes to my fibroid surgery.

I had been pushing through exhaustion, pain, backaches, brain fog, and fatigue the way so many of us do.

I told myself I was just stress from grad school
I told myself I was busy to stop right now
I told myself I just needed more rest
I told myself just make it to the end of the semester

I was wrong.

What I thought was “just another symptom of basic exhaustion” turned out to be a ruptured cyst that led to an infection serious enough to land me in the hospital for 2 days!

For days, I received antibiotics around the clock while doctors worked to prevent the infection from spreading further.

I missed classes.
I fell behind on work.
I had to cancel commitments.
I had to ask for help.

And as an independent woman who prides herself on being self sufficient….asking for help in this way was super hard for me.

As someone who is used to being productive and constantly moving toward the next goal, being forced to slow down felt almost as painful as being physically sick.

But somewhere in that experience, I realized something:

My body wasn’t betraying me.

My body was communicating with me.

The hospitalization didn’t make me decide to have surgery overnight, but it did become one of the moments that helped me realize I could no longer ignore what was happening.

Sometimes healing isn’t pushing harder.

Sometimes healing is finally listening.

Share this with someone who needs it ♥️
