POSTS STORIES REELS

I figured it out!

After almost a year and a half of work behind the scenes, I found a way to price complex creative projects in, quite literally, two clicks.

No more old-school spreadsheets (finally!), this is Roadbase.

It works with any creative brief, adapts to your team's capabilities and methodologies, and learns from your past projects, so every new proposal is faster and more accurate, whether you are a large agency or a solo freelancer.

Saturday doodle, not a JLC reverso small seconds. Fun story behind the real one.
No one really cared about them when it launched almost 90 years ago. And the Reverso cases were left on storage for 40 years before JLC picked them up again... by @nicordf

I'll start sharing some behind-the-scenes content here, as it is impressive the amount of team work that's behind a 5 second clip (that sometimes doesn't even makes the cut!). Hope you like it! by @nicordf

Quick rendering doodle, trying to find an efficient shared material library pipeline for an upcoming project. Ended up rendering an artichoke for some reason

Third and last post of the Fokus fidgeting device we designed as part of a Uni course last year. Hope you like it!

Second post of the focus enhancer device we designed with @natalia.trzmielak and @highjackkkk
Just wanted to geek out on the material created on KeyShot, which was inspired by those mind-blowing, see-through car illustrations.

The material itself renders quite fast, and is easy to configure, as the see through is based on the camera view direction. The only issue is that I lost the original @keyshot3d file! 🤦‍♂

May try to replicate it one of these days and upload it to Gumroad if anyone is interested!

I've wanted to share this for a while (almost a year now!), but I kept postponing it for some reason.

During the "From Concepts to Design" course from @aaltouniversity , with @natalia.trzmielak and @highjackkkk , we discovered the immense potential of fidgeting.

That unconscious (and sometimes annoying) act of playing with something or stomping your feet while doing certain tasks is the body's natural response to remain focused a little longer. Literature even suggests that fidgeting may help enter into a flow state!

With this finding, we decided to design and prototype Fokus, a fidgeting tool that reads the user's stress level and modulates its haptic feedback to help achieve that state of flow more easily.

It was a hectic 6-week project, with many iterations and prototypes regardless of our limited time, but we managed to develop a working prototype!

Third and last shot of The Reuben concrete speaker I shared last week. It is subtle, but the bokeh looks SO much better. I love how the new camera blade tool in KeyShot enhances shallow DoF renders.

Swipe for the clay version!

Modelled with Rhino3D and rendered in @Keyshot3d.

Here's a context shot of The Reuben, a concrete speaker concept I plan to start prototyping (and iterating for sure!) in a few weeks. Designed as part of the Product & Form course at @aaltouniversity , it is part of an ongoing collaboration between Aalto and Genelec, one of the world leaders in HiFi audio.
I added a clay shot, also. Swipe to check it out!

A couple of months ago I started working on a concrete speaker concept for a course I took at @aaltouniversity , and while this is not by any means the final one, it is the fifth iteration of the idea I initially had in mind, so I thought I should share it here :)

I’ll probably start building a working prototype by mid-Feb, which will shed light on a lot of insights for a future V6 of the project, but meanwhile, here’s The Reuben! A Hi-Fi speaker meant to stand as a statement piece and pay homage to the beautifully experimental mid-century modern design era.

Special thanks to @highjackkkk and @gerobm ♥️ for the good vibes and feedback!

Modeled in @mcneel.europe Rhino, and rendered in @keyshot3d

Pretty excited to finally share this with you, the final of three launch animations we produced at @dngr.ltd for @therabody new, 2nd-gen Theragun Mini.
On this particular video we developed a quite interesting workflow to bridge between @KeyShot an @Unrealengine 🤓🤓, quite helpful in outdoor environmental setups!
