It still doesn’t feel real…
BruceToberFest will never be the same.
So many memories in such a short time that I was blessed to know Papa Bruce Ernst….my family and friends knew him as my “Unofficial Adopted Dad”

I told him and Darlene EVERYTHING!!! He was so proud of me and my fast accomplishments at @spoton

No one laughed louder, told the wackiest limericks, partied harder or loved stronger than Bruce.

My heart breaks for sweet Darlene everyday and especially today on his birthday.

Party like a rockstar in heaven Bruce. We are sure missing you a ton down here. You will never be forgotten.🎂🥰🎂🥰

With the heaviest hearts and permission from his family, we are grieved to announce that Bruce Ernst passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona.

He was the beloved husband of Darlene, father of Sean Ernst, stepfather of Pam Bartlett and Shawn Mizon, and cherished grandfather of six.

Bruce lived a successful and rewarding life, enriching the lives of others through his knowledge, experience, and genuine desire to help those around him.

He had a distinguished career as an entrepreneur and executive, ultimately retiring as Vice President of Cerner Corporation. While proud of his professional accomplishments, he took equal pride in the relationships he built and the people he worked with along the way.

A natural relationship builder, he possessed the rare ability to connect with people, earn their trust, and leave a lasting impression. Many considered him a mentor, advisor, and friend. He had an extraordinary ability to turn a casual conversation into a friendship.

Bruce lit up every room he entered with his spirit, kind smile, and infectious laugh. Whether offering advice, lending a helping hand, or simply sharing a story, he had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome and valued.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, living on in the hearts and memories of all whose lives he touched.

In lieu of flowers kindly make a donation to the Humane Society of Tucson https://hssaz.org/

His Celebration of Life will be held at The Henry 2 E Camelback Phoenix Arizona on Saturday January 23, 2027 at 2pm
