Tiefkühl Tour 2025 Part 1: Sardinia Bouldering. The northern part of Sardinia is so slept on for bouldering. Amazing lines on really rough granite everywhere. The perfect winter getaway in Europe. Thousands of boulders still waiting to be cleaned and discovered. by @nicthegrinch

End of Feb 2024 - We had to remove the end torso of an old Willow. I found some Beetle larvae inside rare for our region. After digging deeper I found some Imago (Adult Stage). It was Dorcus parallelipipedus the Lesser Stag Beetle. My first of the heavily collected Stag Beetle Family. I talked to my boss and convinced him to let us bring the cut wood to our warehouse and let it continue to be a breeding ground for future generations for protected beetles. Since then I see them throughout the year around our area in silly situations. I also bred a couple Musk Beetles Aromia moschata from the same stumps. by @nicthegrinch

Feb. 2024 - Visited Dinkelsbühl on the way north to Mainz. For Mimi’s Grandpas 90th Birthday. Little did we know this would be the first and last time I would get to see him. Did the tourist thing, ate big ol fried fish, Marc Chagall stained glass, and stayed in a time capsule 60s/70s apartment. Eventually I’ll get through this year in pictures. by @nicthegrinch

Late January 2024 - Visited Marburg for the 1st Time. David showed me veteran Oaks around Hessen with interesting beetle prospects 🪲 Also went bar hopping around old town… too much Ebbelwoi und Handkäs mit Musik by @nicthegrinch

January 2024 Part 2. Winter bouldering alone is hard. I needed a rest from just bouldering/freezing so I took a day to check out other bouldering locations. One of which was surrounded by WW1 bunkers and trenches. Also checked out Trento, took a tour of the Castle, and skated the park. by @nicthegrinch

January 2024 Part 1. Solo Winter Mission around Lago di Garda, Italy. Was under freezing the whole time and slept in the van 🥶 Lots of good lines and quality lime stone. Best Part was no tourists other than the Rosi Boys who came for the weekend. by @nicthegrinch
