This is the whole point:

Having a group of therapists who ACTUALLY reflect the world we live, in a practice that was built SPECIFICALLY for those who’ve felt historically overlooked, misunderstood, or made to feel like therapy wasn’t made for people like you.

What we carry forward: an ofrenda as a grief practice, with Rebeca Olguin, LMFT. Alongside a small introduction to making an ofrenda, we are sharing things you can take with you, think on, or speak to your therapist about.

When my client is hesitant to talk about death, grief and the depth of the human experience, but those are some of my favorite things to talk about!!!

Therapy can be a place to explore the full spectrum of your emotions and thoughts, even if (and especially if) you’ve been taught those questions or emotions you’ve had are too big, too “scary” or too much.

Surprise! The tools that strengthen romantic love work in friendship, too: listening to understand, repairing after rupture, showing up consistently, and telling the truth with care.

We spend so much energy learning how to love our partners well. But those same tools are also what foster connection in friendships.

Friendships also need tending. They grow more connected when we check in, stay curious, and make room for honesty and fun.

Investing in our friends is just as important as investing in romance.

If all you did today was stay, that’s more than enough. We’re glad you’re here. 🫂

This Depression Awareness Month, we want to make room for a more honest conversation. Depression isn’t a personal failing, and (as we always say about most if not all mental health related things) it rarely exists in a vacuum. It’s shaped by our histories, our relationships, and the systems we’re asked to survive within. If something here resonates, our team is here to meet you where you are.

One thing about us is that we’ll be active participants in your sessions with us. Of course, we value holding empathic, nonjudgmental space. We also value showing up in the room as something more than just “mhm’s” and blank slate style therapists.
