A Polish ski town with Arabic billboards? 🏔️ ❄️

Welcome to Zakopane, where the Tatra mountains meet a surprising new crowd — tourists from the Gulf.

In a country with just 2,000 Muslims, the popularity of this resort among visitors from the UAE, Saudi Arabia and beyond is rather unexpected. Walk through the streets and you'll find shop signs in Arabic and Polish – often to the exclusion of English – and restaurants boasting halal menus.

📸 Swipe through to see Zakopane through the lens of Kasia Ślesińska (@niebardzo).
