The coffee eventually gets cold. The Word doesn't lose its power.

There's something special about the first quiet moments of the morning.

Before the phone starts ringing, before the day's responsibilities begin, before the world starts asking for my attention, there's a conversation I look forward to having.

My coffee is hot, my Bible is open, my journal is nearby, and I'm spending time with my Father.

Some mornings, I read a passage I've read many times before, yet something catches my attention that I hadn't noticed. I reach for my pen, write it down, and sit with it a little longer.

Other mornings, I simply enjoy being in His presence.

Eventually, the coffee cup is empty. The Bible closes. The journal gets put away. And the day begins.

But what I received during those quiet moments doesn't stay on the pages.

It goes with me into conversations, decisions, unexpected situations, and moments when I need to remember whose hand is holding mine.

The Word stays with you long after the cup is empty. ☕📖❤️

When did dressing for church become overdressing?

I remember when Sunday morning was an occasion. Beautiful dresses, tailored suits, hats, heels, handbags, everything coordinated.

You didn't have to be attending a special service to dress beautifully. It was simply how you dressed for church.

Today, I can walk into church wearing what I've always been accustomed to wearing and feel overdressed.

But here's the thing. My taste in clothing hasn't changed just because the atmosphere around me has.

I love a beautifully tailored dress. I love my hats, my heels, my accessories, and putting together an entire ensemble.

That's my style.

I respect everyone's choice to dress how they please. And I expect that same freedom to dress how I please.

I'm not interested in dumbing down my style to blend into a room.

Elegance doesn't require everybody else's participation.

Now, let me ask you something. When did wearing your Sunday best become a thing of the past?

STILL HERE: A STORY OF GRACE

There are moments in life when a person can look back and wonder, How did I survive that?

Not because the road was easy.
Not because every prayer was answered the way we hoped.
Not because we escaped sorrow, disappointment, failure, or loss.

We survived because somewhere between what should have broken us and the morning we opened our eyes again, grace met us.

Grace is one of God's most beautiful mysteries.

We cannot purchase it.
We cannot earn it.
We cannot become good enough to deserve it.

Grace is given.
