Dear Nieko,

Happy 30th Birthday.

What a gift it is to arrive at this milestone and look back on everything it took to get here.

Thirty years of learning, growing, falling, getting back up, and becoming the person we were always meant to be.

We survived the uncertainty, the waiting, the heartbreak, and the nights we thought we were behind.

And through it all, we never stopped believing there was more.

Today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.

Gratitude for every closed door, every difficult season, and every version of ourselves that kept going.

Because now I can see it:

Nothing was falling apart.

Everything was falling into place.

The life we dreamed about wasn’t waiting for us to become someone different.

It was waiting for us to become more fully ourselves.

And look at us now.

Living boldly. Creating a life that feels authentic. Surrounded by people who love us for who we are.

I hope you never forget the younger version of you who dreamed of more.

That version was right.

There was more adventure, more laughter, more love, and more life.

You spent years wondering if things would work out.

Now you know.

They did.

Not perfectly, and not exactly as imagined, but more beautifully than you could have planned.

But here’s the thing:

This was never the finish line.

This was the starting point.

There are still people we haven’t met.

Places we haven’t seen.

Dreams we haven’t dreamed.

Memories waiting to be made.

Adventures waiting to unfold.

And for the first time, I don’t look at the future with fear.

I look at it with excitement.

Because if the last thirty years taught us anything, it’s that life can become bigger, more beautiful, and more magical than we ever imagined.

So here’s to thirty.

Here’s to every version of ourselves that got us here.

And here’s to everything that comes next.

The story isn’t over.

In so many ways, it’s finally starting.
