Some of your favorite counselors are getting new camps tomorrow! Camp nielsen is so much more than a camp, it truly has become a family. As we move on to our new camps, opportunities, or even graduations… we will always be so thankful for the bonds we have all together. CAN’T BELIEVE WE WERE AT LAKEVIEW THIS TIME LAST WEEK 🥹🥹🥹 BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE GOT OUR FRESHMEN!!!!!

To our perfect freshmen, we are so incredibly grateful to all 132 of you for completing the Camp Nielsen family and making Lakeview such a special place for all of us. Texas A&M is incredibly fortunate to have each and every one of you! We are certain that you will achieve remarkable things during your time at A&M, and we can’t wait to watch it all unfold! It’s so crazy how we went from strangers to family in just 3 days!!!

To our perfect namesake Dr. Nielsen, thank you for being the heart of Camp Nielsen. Your passion, kindness, and unwavering support made such a meaningful impact on our experience. From the moment we met you, it was so clear why this camp carries your name, you embody the spirit of Fish Camp in every way. We are so honored to have had you as part of our family!!!

To our perfect chairs, María and Vinay, you’ve worked incredibly hard for the past nine months, and it was truly special to witness all that dedication pay off! The two of you have made Camp Nielsen a family, serving as the best mentors, friends, leaders, and role models for all of us. Your leadership set the tone for everything, as the love, the laughter, the trust, and the magic that made those three days so unforgettable. Camp Nielsen wouldn’t have been what it was without the heart you both put into it every step of the way!!!

To our perfect 24 counselors, seeing you guys KILL IT at Lakeview was such a joy! The freshmen are so lucky to have you guys as friends and mentors for the rest of their time here in College Station. Each one of you guys is what made Camp Nielsen, Camp Nielsen! Forever thankful for every single one of y’all! Your energy, love, and intentionality didn’t go unnoticed, you all poured your hearts into every conversation, every activity, and every late-night talk. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better group to call our family!!!

“Nick has been such an awesome person to share this experience with. He is one of the funniest people I know and I’m happy to have a partner I get along so well with. Even though we’re far apart he’s put in a lot of work and I can’t wait for camp!!”

“My favorite thing about my partner is the energy and excitement she brings to every fish camp activity. This helps me buy-in so much even when I am states away. Also she’s pretty chill.”

“Weiss is such a unique character. He’s a great communicator, always makes people feel included, and brings such a positive energy to every conversation. He’s truly made this experience better for everyone around him. I am so excited to watch him connect with the freshmen, they are so lucky to have him as a role model.”

“MADDIE BAIR is such an energetic spirit, shes so nonchalant but can always “catch a vibe”. So green coded”
