Last Tampa Pro’s energy was unreal! We’re bringing that same vibe back for our Tampa Am Activation with @superskateposse + @bbbs_tampabay on Oct 17th 8:30am - 12:00pm at Skatepark of Tampa in the west parking lot! We’re looking for volunteers to help us: • Distribute skateboards & protective equipment • Teach kids how to skate (or just hype them up!) • Capturing the moment through photos & videos It’s all about giving back and getting more kids on boards If you would like to help share the gift of skateboarding, drop a comment and sign up on our website under upcoming events or through the link in our bio. Free Saturday admission for the contest when you sign up to volunteer! Let’s make this one count! Can’t make it, but still want to support?! We are always excepting donations through our website (boards4bros.org) to help us keep this going! #tampaam2026 #thegiftofskateboarding by @nieratko

Chris Nieratko of @superskateposse is such an inspiration to the skateboarding community. We are blessed to have someone like this to initiate the opportunity for kids to spark their interest in skateboarding with a quality deck and helmet and shoes. Also big shoutout to the @primitiveskate team, @tillys, @tillyslifecenter, @city_of_anaheim, @prod, @antwuandixon and many more that showed up to skate, take pictures, and bring out the good vibes. #skateboarding #tiktokpartner #interview by @nieratko

This week’s Record & Tape Exchange Selector, Chris Nieratko, has spent the better part of three decades in skateboarding - documenting it on the pages of Thrasher and Big Brother, but also actively shaping and connecting the culture around it through his work as an organiser. As an East Coast journalist coming up in the ‘90s, he also crossed paths with the biggest names in hip-hop on their way up. Our conversation, and his song selections, feature hip-hop tapes, backyard ramps, grief, gratitude, and a healthy dose of Jersey pride. by @nieratko

💔Rest easy, @kevinwilkins. You always were & always will be the 2nd thing I think of when anyone mentions Nebraska. ❤️Having you as My Boss at The Mag was one of the greatest joys of my writing years; it always impressed me that after all that time at TWS it never institutionalized you. Much younger men than you allowed themselves to mentally ‘age out,’ while you spoke, wrote and edited as if you bathed in the fountain of youth nightly. Skateboarding, the world, was blessed to have had you. thank you for your years of friendship, kindness, and your willingness to subvert where we could. My heart breaks for all your friends and family. I hope Reggie Destin was waiting for you at the gates, butt ass naked, wearing nothing but a smile to welcome you. Love you, baby boy. ❤️ 📸: @atibaphoto by @nieratko
What a weekend 🙌 big shout out to Chris @nieratko with @superskateposse as well as Joe and Sarah from @bbbs_tampabay for holding it down with us again! 🛹✨ Huge thanks to all the volunteers who rolled through and gave their time to spread the stoke and share the gift of skateboarding. Watching the kids push past their fears, drop in, and light up the park with smiles is what it’s all about 🔥 Super grateful for everyone who makes days like this possible. Couldn’t do it without the community, the heart, and the love for skateboarding ❤️ 💪 📸 @johnbraukmanphoto Special thanks to @nieratko @superskateposse @bbbs_tampabay @nhs_inc @ojwheels @santacruzskateboards @creaturefiends @vansskate @techneskateboards @quantumbearings @triple8nyc @stanceofficial @spottampa @brianschaefer . . . #boardsforbros #givethegiftofskateboarding #skateforgood #skateandgiveback #skateforchange #skatecommunity #community #tampa #nonprofitlife #dogoodfeelgood #giveback #communityovereverything #youthempowerment #supportlocal #spreadthestoke by @nieratko
