The struggle to have you.
The struggle to bring you home 🤍

Nothing about your journey was easy.
From the fear, the waiting, and the emotional toll it took to get pregnant,
to the moment everything changed at 34 weeks.

Another emergency C-section.
No hospital bag. No car seat. Barely a goodbye to your brother.
I didn’t get to hold you or capture the moments I imagined.
You were rushed to the NICU, and we went home without you.

The days after were heavy—going back and forth,
trying to be present for your brother while my heart stayed with you.
The guilt. The exhaustion. The fear.
Mentally, it broke me in ways I’m still healing from.

Sometimes motherhood isn’t Instagram-ready.
Sometimes it’s survival.

But every hard moment led me to you.

Thank you, @africanlionsafari , for having us! 🧡🦁 We had such a fun day exploring with our boys, and with today being the LAST DAY of the 2026 season, we’re so glad we got to visit before the park closed for the year! 🍂🥹

Here’s what you can experience at African Lion Safari:

🦁 Safari Game Reserves – explore seven game reserves filled with incredible wildlife! You can drive through in your own car 🚗 or hop aboard the Safari Tour Bus 🚌 like we did!

🚢 African Queen Boat Cruise – enjoy a scenic boat ride around Water Safari Lake.

🚂 Nature Boy Scenic Railway – take a relaxing train ride through the woodlands.

🐾 Pets’ Corner – discover a variety of animals and birds.

🛝 Children’s Playground – let the little ones play and burn off some energy.

💦 Misumu Bay Wetplay – a fun water-play area for hot summer days! ☀️ In 2026, it operated from May 16 to September 7. Keep an eye out for the 2027 dates if you want to enjoy the water attractions!

We took the Safari Tour Bus through the game reserves, and seeing the animals along the way made it such a fun experience with the kids! 🦓🐘❤️

African Lion Safari is now closed for the season, but if you haven’t been yet, add it to your 2027 bucket list and keep an eye on their page for reopening dates! 📌

Sometimes I look at my boys, and I think about the version of me who had no idea if this day would ever come. The one who wanted this so badly but had no idea how her story would unfold.

I wish I could tell her that one day, she’d be right here. That the little family she dreamed about would become her reality.

After all the waiting, all the wondering, and all the times I was afraid it might never happen… I get to be their mom.

And I don’t think I’ll ever fully have the words for what that means to me 🤍

🍂 Come with us to the Toronto Fall Baby Show! 🧸✨

If you’re expecting, have a baby, or have a toddler, this is one event you’re going to want to know about!

One of my favourite things about this year’s Fall Baby Show was how organized and easy everything felt. You could select a timed entry window, which made arriving with little ones so much smoother, and you could pick up your Baby Show Sample Bag during your entry window too. 🤎

Once we got inside, there was SO much to explore — from strollers, car seats and baby gear to feeding, sleep, baby care, toddler products and family services. With 200+ exhibitors, there were so many brands and products to discover all under one roof.

And it wasn’t just about shopping! There were parenting experts and seminars, car-seat safety education, baby CPR demonstrations, sleep and postpartum resources, a Feeding Lounge, complimentary massages, Volvo’s Safety Stage and Bluey & Bingo meet-and-greets for the little ones. 🥹✨

I loved being able to see products in person, try things out, compare options, discover new brands and actually connect with the people behind them — all while making a fun day out of it with the family.

Whether you’re a mom-to-be, a new mom, in the baby stage or chasing a toddler, there really was something for every stage. 🤎

✨ And today is the LAST DAY!

Such a lovely morning at BabyBjörn’s Wake Windows event 🤍

We got to try the new Baby Carrier Hold with Aari and have it fitted specifically for both of us. I loved the SnapWrap design, the separate adjustments for baby and wearer, and the adjustable seat width — such thoughtful details.

After the event, we were sent home with our new carrier and the cutest goodie bag 🥹

I’ve loved BabyBjörn since Ayan was a baby — I bought his carrier and bouncer four years ago, and now getting to use BabyBjörn again with Aari feels pretty special. 🤍

🎃 We took the boys to Tricks & Treats at Canada’s Wonderland today and it was such a cute Halloween outing! 👻🍬

If you’re planning to go, head to the Trick-or-Treat Adventure first to get your map, trick-or-treat bag and stamp, then follow the map around to the different stations to collect your treats! 🍭🎃

There’s also a corn maze and Spirit Manor, a family-friendly haunted walkthrough. 👻 Our 3-year-old went through without being scared — the characters were so friendly that he was actually stopping to talk to them and giggling the whole way through. 🥹😂 Even in the corn maze, he was so excited, pointing things out along the way.

And our 10-month-old was able to go through Spirit Manor with us too! 🧡

It was honestly such a nice little fall activity for the kids — Halloween fun without being too scary. 🎃

If you have little ones, Tricks & Treats is a cute one to add to your fall plans! 🧡
