Breathe
Sometimes it's a word,
sometimes it's a phrase, or just a hug by proxy...
the Father always has a way to remind us of his love.

Sometimes it's an ask we feel too big
other times a 'don't worry' we want to disregard.
Each time he's there looking out for us,
brooding over us like a hen her chicks.

Sometimes it's big
sometimes it's small
other times unnoticed
the mighty deliverances he wins for us,
This our Father oh how He loves us.

Sometimes we see,
sometimes we feel other times we totally ignore, but he's just there with another victory he won for us eons before any being ever knew.

Sometimes it's easy other times not
The complex process notwithstanding
and he said before, he says again,

It's been ages and my heart still skips a beat at the sight of you
Not just you, a captured image is capable of playing that isolated beat
I miss us being together... wait! did that ever happen?
Maybe in my heart, if that counts
Every time in the early days that I found the courage to say hello
Every time I lurked in the bright shadows of the afters... waiting, eager to walk you to your car,
Each time I saw you drive into the park and elegantly glide into the premises

And oh, bless the day we shared a stage
And the dinners I couldn't afford just to share a table with you if only for an hour
Blessed the eve that we walked that cool one hour that felt like ten, when we talked as friend to friend,
Thanks for letting me down easy, 'you're a nice guy and all, I just don't like you like that'
For pointing out how I was not walking a straight line...
Maybe I was inebriated, drunk with your aura and the dizzying possibilities that ceased to be
Maybe I was stupid, maybe I was dazed or plain amazed,

Whatever it was I'm sure of this, you were wonderful spice in my life and I'm grateful for each flavor I savored, for the aroma that thrilled, the taste that lingered sweet and sour, pleasant and jarring,
Grateful for the second I chanced on you, for the whole year I admired from afar,
For the collective 18 hours we spent conversing,
For the lessons, and drive, for the pointed questions and outed stories,
For accepting my gift and gifting me a share of your life, for hosting at your home, and that awesome smile...

This was walking, but walking and running, whats the difference... Your feet move on both counts,
Your heart beats faster either ways
Do it long enough and your feet can gain weight
The kind that makes it feel you retrofitted them with concrete encasements... They tell us both make for healthier living
They tell us you can get high on both
but which is more liberating of the monkey brain
that wants to steal your calm and focus

which one makes multitasking easier
which makes it easier to hurt yourself

Questions get raised daily, liberating questions, random questions, some with answers and some for which the answers may never be discovered by the asker, some questions just popped into my head, and I'm not even sure they all have answers, not forgetting that they can be asked in multiple context would totally change the kind of answers they would elicit... by @nifty4la

Something brings me to my books

It leads me to turn pages, signal my pen

and tickles my fingers till they get jittery

something gets into my head

it swirls the drink of my creative juice

and tilts the container of my expression vehicle

Something goes to my heart

it squeezes the pumps of my feeling activator

and tinkers with my alertness levels on many fronts

Something calls me to remembrance

it prods me to create memories
