And just like that, six amazing days of Project Empower 2.1: Brushes 2 Business have come to an end! 🥳🥳🤭

It’s been six days filled with learning, new experiences, creativity and so many moments worth celebrating. From acquiring new skills to building confidence and exploring new possibilities, it’s been lovely watching everything come together.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this experience possible. Every lesson shared, every skill learnt and every moment spent has been part of what made this journey special.

Here’s to taking all we’ve learnt beyond these six days. ☺️

One of the best parts of Project Empower 2.1 is hearing directly from the girls and seeing what this experience means to them.

In this video, Aisha Abimbola shares her experience at the event and what she’s taking away from it.

We’re happy to see these ladies learning new skills, exploring their creativity, and taking steps towards a future filled with more opportunities.

We had a quick chat with Tito Ibeleme @teeto__ibeleme , Founder and Creative Director of T.A’lamode Beauty @t.alamodebeauty , about her experience at Project Empower 2.1: Brushes 2 Business.

She shared how happy she was to be part of the initiative and to have the chance to share her knowledge with the girls. More than anything, she hopes they take what they’ve learnt, put it to good use and continue to grow and do even better for themselves.

We’re happy to have had her be part of the journey.

We caught some really valuable moments from Tito Ibeleme’s @teeto__ibeleme Business & Entrepreneurial Masterclass at Project Empower 2.1: Brushes 2 Business.

From pricing and positioning to building a strong brand and creating a sustainable beauty business, Tito shared practical lessons to help the participants think beyond the skill and understand what it takes to turn that skill into a real livelihood.

It was an engaging session with plenty to learn, and we’re glad to share a little glimpse of it with you. 💚 @c4her_initiative @iam_bamidele @t.alamodebeauty

A few moments from an insightful session at Project Empower 2.1: Brushes 2 Business.

Mrs. Opeyemi Makanjuola Adesanya @ope_bridgedgap led a really engaging conversation on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), touching on the importance of having the right information, understanding our rights, and being able to make informed decisions about our health and wellbeing.

It was a session filled with learning, questions, meaningful conversations and a good reminder that empowerment is not just about learning a skill, but also having the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices.

Here’s a little recap from the session.

Knowing your breasts could make a difference.

Breast cancer happens when abnormal cells in the breast grow uncontrollably. While it can affect anyone, it occurs mostly in women, and finding it early can improve the chances of successful treatment.

That’s why breast awareness matters. Know what is normal for your body and pay attention to changes such as a new lump or swelling, changes in the shape or size of the breast, unusual nipple discharge, or changes to the skin around the breast.

Not every change means breast cancer, but an unusual or persistent change should be checked by a healthcare professional.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Day, let’s encourage the women in our families and communities to stay informed, pay attention to their bodies and seek medical care when something doesn’t feel right.

Awareness shouldn’t end with wearing pink. Let it lead to conversations, support and action.

Every girl deserves the chance to learn, grow, speak up and dream about her future without being limited by her gender.

Yet around the world, many girls still face barriers to education, healthcare, safety and equal opportunities simply because they are girls.

The International Day of the Girl Child reminds us that supporting girls goes beyond celebrating them. It means making sure they have access to education, protecting their rights, listening to their voices and creating opportunities for them to thrive.

And that responsibility belongs to all of us — families, schools, organisations and communities.

When a girl is given the opportunity to reach her potential, the impact goes far beyond her. Her community benefits too.

Today, let’s celebrate girls, listen to them and continue creating spaces where they can become everything they have the potential to be.
