[Media] It was lovely to revisit the MICHELIN recommended Nightingale @nightingalerest in Vancouver trying some of their new menu items!

The grilled Japanese eggplant was tender with crunchy hazelnuts over the top. I enjoyed it with the cool tzatziki and a little sweetness from the spiced honey. We had delicate, bluefin tuna carpaccio and longanisa sausage too, with pickled jackfruit adding a tart bite to the sausage.

I enjoyed the creamy cheese and cracked pepper on the Cacio e Pepe Pizza. The meat pizza (fennel sausage, soppressata, pepperoni) had more spice and salt, with pickled red onion giving some acidity between bites. The clam spaghetti brought a different flavour to the table, with white wine sauce and a little jalapeño heat.

For dessert, the Lemon Meringue Tart was a tall order with citrus tart beneath the soft, sweet meringue. The Black Forest Cake had sour cherries that cut through the chocolate and creamy mousse.

@nightingalerest is a restaurant I go back to again and again. Everyone goes to nightingale for chicken, pizza and beets, but I feel these items you should try. Here is what I tried:

- Heirloom Tomatoes 🤤👍. The tomatoes were really sweet and goes great with the burrata.
- Scallops 🤤. The scallops were cooked perfectly.
- Eggplants. The scallops were perfectly seasoned and it went great with the tzatziki sauce.
- Prawns 🤤👍. The prawns were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I can definitely ordering this everytime
- Brussel Sprouts. I normally don't really like brussel sprouts but the Thai chili works really well!
- Cacio E Pepe Pizza. Their pizza dough always brings me back to Italy.
- Carrot Cake 🤤👍. I recommend ordering the carrot cake if you want something moist and not too heavy.

👍 = Definitely give it a try

The food and service is always quite good. The restaurant was really packed even at 9:30pm. Make sure to check out these dishes next time you're at @nightingalerest
