10+ weddings a weekend × nearly two decades = over 10,000 weddings & events we’ve had the honour to be part of. 🫶🏻

We’ve seen vows whispered under fairy lights, dance floors that didn’t quit ‘til sunrise (legit at Matilda Bay), tears, laughter, pizza and Maccas-fuelled midnight snacks, and love stories of every kind. ❤️‍🔥 (including all through COVID) 😷

Every single wedding and event has taught us something, shaped us, and brought us here, to Night Owl Studio, where we still bring the same energy, care, and creativity to every event. ✨⚡️

We don’t mean to influence your hens party plans, but…

A burlesque hens party? At Night Owl? Darling, obviously. 💅

The best part wasn’t just the killer screen visuals, the party atmosphere or a room ready for its main-character moment…

It was making sure the whole night came together without the bride’s favourite people having to run around putting out fires. 😅

From liaising with vendors to getting those visuals just right, we were all about the details. And the review that landed afterwards?… Well, we’re blushing a little.

This is the event that made us realise Night Owl could be so much more.

Back in 2023, we hosted our very first private event. It was a 40th birthday, and we were absolutely chuffed someone wanted to celebrate in our space! They had a band, used the furniture we had at the time and hired in light up numbers and balloons.  
But. 
The floor was uneven and not painted in sections. The bathrooms look nothing like what they do now. The “Mood Guy” has been an addition. The furniture was all mismatched. And we were a lot more “raw”. 
What followed has been a further 3 years of amazing, incredible events in our space.

From birthdays and weddings to live music, private parties and everything in between, we’ve watched Night Owl grow into something we couldn’t have fully imagined back then. 🥹

But here’s the thing. We didn’t start with a perfect venue. It started with someone giving us a chance.
That first birthday was a little reminder that people didn’t need us to have everything figured out. They just needed a space that felt different. A place where they could bring their people, their ideas and their own kind of magic.

And honestly? That’s still what we’re here for. 🫶🏻

We’ve upgraded the floors, added custom lighting, refined the space and levelled up the experience. But at our core, we’re still the same Night Owl that opened its doors to that first 40th.

A little alternative. A little unexpected. And always here for people who want something different.

If you’re planning a birthday, wedding, engagement party, corporate event or just looking for a reason to get your favourite people in one room, we’d love to be part of your story, too.

 It’s questioning why the template exists in the first place!

We refuse to do things “just because”. We have beef with beige. We have VERY strong opinions about lighting + sound. We embrace the weird ideas. And your experience > squeezing every last dollar out of your event.
