Tomodachi Trackday kali ini jadi momen kill two birds with one stone buat gue.

Pertama, turun Sentul Kecil untuk pertama kalinya setelah sekian lama, dengan motor “rental” milik @robbyjnr_ . Ya, pertama kali gue trackday di Sencil itu sekitar 7 tahun yang lalu, juga dengan motor pinjeman: CBR150R KPP milik @kaerul34 .

Kedua, reacquainted with Yamaha Vixion. In case you didn’t know, sebelumnya gue sempat jadi user Vixion selama kurang lebih 8 tahun sebagai daily beater dan weekend weapon, albeit versi first gen alias Vixion Old. Jadi, setelah sekian lama nggak menyentuh track, what’s the damage?

Terakhir gue trackday itu sudah lebih dari setahun yang lalu di Gery Mang Subang. Jangankan trackday, terakhir motoran jauh pun sudah hampir setahun yang lalu karena gue sedang menunggu kelahiran anak pertama gue. Kondisi tersebut tentunya nggak memungkinkan gue untuk motoran jauh dan explore motor lebih jauh beyond sunmori or commuting.

Badan pastinya kaku semua. Gue harus beradaptasi dengan motor yang literally baru pertama kali gue tunggangi di hari itu juga. Masuk tikungan pun harus mikir agak lama: geser-geser bokong buat nemuin body position yang pas, racing line yang benar kayak gimana, menentukan distribusi bobot motor untuk weight shifting demi mendapatkan grip yang maksimal, dan lain sebagainya. Belum lagi gue sama sekali udah lupa layout Sencil, dan entah kenapa nggak kepikiran buat nonton video onboard dulu sebelum berangkat.

Namanya pake motor orang, rasa takut jatuh pasti ada banget. Apalagi ada beberapa kendala lain. Motor Robby GP shift, sementara motor gue nggak. Untungnya nggak ada momen money shift tuh 😅

Motor ini sempat terbengkalai selama kurang lebih 4 tahun dan ban depannya juga belum diganti. Jadi front end motor terasa agak ngambang. Mungkin juga karena shock belakangnya masih standar pabrik dan terlalu empuk.

Sayangnya, Robby sempat crash di sesi pertama yang menyebabkan rem belakangnya harus dilepas.

Oh well, shit happens.

But honestly, gue justru mengapresiasi Robby's effort yang udah nyiapin motornya buat event ini. He did a great job getting the bike ready, and looking back, I think renting his bike was the right decision for me. Ka taken in Sentul International Karting Circuit by @nightrunners_racing
