Some things aren’t just “chic”, they’re brave, heartbreaking, scary, beautiful and courageous. Like moving abroad or to a new city: it is one of the biggest gifts you can give yourself, but at the same time one of the hardest challenges you’ll ever face 💛

Missing your “first” home is normal, but going out of your comfort zone, discovering who you are in a place that feels unfamiliar, teaches you so much about yourself and about who you want to be.

And if you do this surrounded by the right people, I promise the journey won’t be bad at all 🫂 by @nightsofmilan

Who’s ready for one last summer party together in Milan? ☀️
Yes, Milan is hot, being anywhere without ac seems like a nightmare and we keep saying “odio l’estate”. But think about this: free ghiaccioli to refresh, ice cold drinks to cheer one last time before everyone leaves the city, Lovecast who will make us dance and a lottery with a lot of prizes that will make your summer a little more bearable.

We still don’t really know how to put into words what happened last Friday 🧡

To be honest, we’re still trying to process it.

More than 100 people came together to spend an evening with one another. They (almost) all live in Milan, but they come from every corner of the world. Some arrived alone, some brought a friend, and some came with people they had met exactly one year ago at this same event. What made the night so special is the same thing that amazes us every time and keep us going, that everyone showed up for the same reason: to meet new people, share conversations, and create genuine connections. And they did all of this despite the incredible heat, which, even now, is making it difficult to write these words.

On our way home, we (Alice and Luigi) kept thinking about how crazy it is that, in just one year, we managed to create something like this. Something that has the power to bring together so many different people who might never have met otherwise. And not just random people, because this community is full of some of the kindest, most open, and most genuine people we have ever met.

So thank you for showing up, for being curious, for introducing yourselves to strangers, for sharing your stories, and for helping create the atmosphere that makes these nights so special.

Last Friday reminded us why we started this in the first place. Seeing more than 100 people from all over the world and hearing that what we’re doing is something that helped them call Milano “home”; is something we won’t forget anytime soon.

We’re incredibly grateful to all of you.

And a special thank you to @wao_it, you always make us feel at home; to @amandatitoneli for capturing the best memories we could think of; to @frantoio_santagatadoneglia for these delicious prizes; to @alex_barile_gv for creating the soundtrack of this event.
