Dancing to Tere Hawaale feels like dancing through our own story. 🤍

We started miles apart. Long distance, different cities, never having met, never having seen each other in person. No promises of when. No timeline. Just a quiet certainty from day one that somehow, someday, we were meant to end up together.

There were years of waiting, almost 4 years of loving each other through screens and prayers. And even when we didn’t know when we would finally meet, we knew who we were waiting for. Even if it had taken 10 years, we would’ve still chosen each other.

So when it was time for our first dance at our roka, there was never a second thought. It had to be this song. Not planned, not rehearsed but just us, our journey, and a moment we once only imagined.

The day my Roka was finalised, I just knew the songs I’d want to dance to, Laavan being one of the two. I knew it would be one of the most special performances of my life.

I fell really sick and couldn’t prepare the way I had planned, but in the end, it worked out for the best. I danced purely from my heart!and that made it even more meaningful. I’m usually never shy when it comes to dancing, but this time felt different. This one meant so much more. 💛
