I completed my Divemaster certification in reverse ⏮️

A dream, no matter big or small, when realised, must end in giving thanks 🤲🏾 Yet, who I owe gratitude to is only revealed as hands of time pass me by, immersed in this weird, rewarding profession

The quiet hiss of the compressor starting up in wee hours of morning. The scratch of pens that record all equipment shared and exchanged via a dive shop, meticulously. The swift quarter turn of your tank before you leap off the boat ⛴️

To not only chase your dream but chase it right requires unwavering faith, ingrained in all people who care. Papa, Mongya, and Vara worry for me when the time is right, and wing it with me when the time is necessary. To say I owe them my life, is to say less than they deserve❤️

💫 To my second father, not on Instagram:

•Who introduced me to water as a life-force, meant to be enjoyed

•Who saved a drowning man on marine drive in the 1970s, teaching me that a path tied to the ocean can never disentangle itself from hands that help

To master an art requires a gifted soul without an ego, willing to teach it. I bless my stars to have found that in Azeem, everyday. My family of teachers continues to grow with Maria— a current of vibrance and sass, achieving with two hands and legs, the workload of 10 💪

🩵There is a reason I haven't dived with any operation but @orcadiveclub since 2016. It's simple. I am in love. An ecosystem which my success rests upon. A sanctuary that heals, forces wonder, explores passionately, grieves uninhibited, and even overlooks my shortcomings. A tie that binds like no other,🪢 all built and kept ticking by my Anees, Shameen, Zahaan, and Armaani🩵

Like life’s ebb and flow, not everyone who was around when I first ventured into the blue remains. I carry you with me. I feel your presence like my ancestors. I already see it. One day, on the water, we meet again… 🌌

• ANEMONE PEEK •

Clownfish are all born male, but change sex when circumstances allow and if required. For example- the last female dies or disappears.

Sexual alterations occur first in the brain and could take months or even years to reflect biologically.

Other non-reproductive male clowns are also allowed to live with the mating pair. While mother defends the nest, father tends to the eggs. Often choosing swaying anemone as home, Clownfish are seemingly immune to its sting 🪸

This species get its name from bold contrasting colours seen painted on the face of an entertainer 🎨

Read about diving all you want, but only confined water sessions provide an elementary portal to make diving your own.

You must ride the wave of pool sessions to acquire a recognised licence to dive upto 18m anywhere on the blue globe.
