Nas dan uz nasih najblizih 100, ko iz sna, savrsen. Jos mi je nestvarna nasa prica, i dok sam montirala crtice iz dana u ovaj reel knedla mi se svako toliko pojavila u grlu, i ne znam cime sam zasluzila svoju osobu, koja je moja moja na svaki moguci nacin, kojeg volim zbog tisucu razloga, i svakim danom sve vise i vise. Jedva cekam sljedece poglavlje koje je doslovno iza coska. Otisao je Goran Bare. Odlaze nam cesto, sve cesce priznati umjetnici cijenjeni u nasoj generaciji i svaka smrt nekog od nama omiljenih nas dirne. Za mene je Goran Bare, uz Dina Dvornika kojeg odavno vec nema (a ipak kao da je i dalje tu) i Darka Rundeka bio pojam najcisce umjetnosti. Osjecao je i tako na svoj nacin interpretirao svaku notu, a u kontekstu njegove zivotne price, bilo je toliko bolno, a opet nekako… Predivno. Za mene je Bare puno vise od samog umjetnika (kao da to, samo po sebi nije dovoljno?), on je za mene bio hodajuca metafora borbe unutarnjih demona i nosenja s istima. Nije ih skrivao, nije ih uljepsavao, nije se pretvarao da ih je pobijedio. Nosio ih je sa sobom, nekad dostojanstveno, nekad potpuno razoren, i upravo je iz te borbe nastajalo nesto tako nevjerojatno iskreno. Kod njega nikad nisam imala osjecaj da gledam nekoga tko izvodi pjesmu, imala sam osjecaj da gledam covjeka koji je na pozornici ogolio sebe i pokazao ono sto bi vecina nas najradije sakrila. Nije pjevao o boli, on ju je prozivljavao pred nama. I mozda je upravo zato toliko ljudi u njegovim pjesmama pronalazilo vlastite tuge, vlastite lomove i vlastite demone. Postoje umjetnici koje volimo zbog pjesama, postoje oni koje pamtimo zbog vremena u kojem smo ih slusali, a postoje i oni koji postanu simbol necega puno veceg. Bare je za mene bio upravo to. Simbol toga koliko covjek istovremeno moze biti i slomljen i nevjerojatno ziv. Koliko iz najtezih dijelova sebe moze stvoriti nesto lijepo. I koliko umjetnost, kada je stvarna, nema nikakve veze sa savrsenstvom. Mozda zato njegov odlazak boli malo drugacije. Jer s njim nije otisao samo jos jedan veliki glazbenik. Otisao je jedan od onih rijetkih ljudi koji su nas podsjetili da se i iz vlastitog mraka moze napraviti umjetnost. by @nikaaudrey

I was recently interviewed for a fashion platform and asked who the @stellamccartney woman is to me. This was more or less my answer: To me, the Stella McCartney woman is a feminine rocker, a bit of a rebel, who expresses herself through clean, refined and feminine lines, but is never afraid to show attitude. Sometimes that attitude comes through in a detail, sometimes in the styling, but what matters is that her “punk” side never overpowers her femininity, and her femininity is never afraid to be bold. What I find especially interesting about Stella is that her woman never looks like she has tried too hard. She can wear a perfectly tailored suit, a simple slip dress or a very clean silhouette, and there will still always be something that gives the look character and a slight sense of rebellion. I think that is also why Stella is so wearable in real life. Her client is not a woman who dresses only for a photograph or for a passing trend. She wants to look sophisticated, modern and feminine, while still keeping her personality. She knows the rules of good dressing, she just does not feel the need to always follow them. And maybe that is what I relate to most about the Stella McCartney woman - she does not have to choose between elegance and attitude. She can be very chic, very feminine, and at the same time have that little touch of rock’n’roll that makes the whole look more interesting. Olivier Rousteing took Balmain to the very top and gave the house such a strong, instantly recognizable identity that I think anyone coming after him was always going to have an incredibly difficult job. But from Antonin Tron’s very first collection, I could already see where Balmain was meant to go next. A new direction, a new freshness, but without losing the sexiness, boldness and fearlessness that have always been such an important part of the brand. The vision was actually very clear to me from the beginning, and with this collection I feel like he proved it even more. I remember telling my clients after his first show that, to me, this new Balmain woman feels like that sexy, powerful, strong, modern Parisian woman we all secretly want to be a little bit. She doesn’t need to be overly polished or overly glamorous to be noticed. There is something more effortless, sensual and slightly undone about her, but she is still incredibly strong. Corsetry, draping, low waists, animal print, incredible fabrics and that kind of sexiness that never feels forced. It is definitely a different Balmain from the one we knew for years, but I think that is exactly what the house needed - a new chapter with its own identity, rather than trying to recreate what Olivier had already done so successfully.
