HMD to all the amazing mothers 💐 a divine role!

@cheyenneallred_ anticipating what kid of mother you would be was one of the things that attracted me most to you when dating. Seeing you deliver for our kids in each and every stage is a joy to experience! ily. by @nikallred

Jonny Boy-

Dynamic as a man could be,
Thoughts of him I share with thee

What more can a young man ask than a true loyal friend,
At TO Smith we met & o’er the years letters we would send

The yes maam no sir southern charm,
Had all our parents welcome you with open arm

Our teacher taught us chess check mates,
And said together we could run the United States

Before we left maturation of which we had to pass,
You asked if putting condoms on bananas was part of the class

At Monroe Park we learned to play the greatest sport,
Weekends we’d spend together out building a fort

The times with you were all so radical,
Remember, that time I saw you break your clavicle?

We dreamed about our high school days on the football field,
The battles, victories, glories that game soon would yield

I still wish we could have just one play back,
You know the one I regrettably made your leg crack

Tough as nails your pain tolerance was the most,
Impressed by this trait for you I will always boast.

When you got your license garbage cans were scared with fright,
Because hitting them in your trooper was to your great delight

It wasnt fair to the rest of us how you were so tough,
Then stack on handsome, intelligent & super buff

The memories of our youth abide forever,
But there were bigger things for you to endeavor

On to college passing class at the UofU,
Bachelors degrees you thought why not get two

Then to law school at William & Mary,
A pen and paper you would always carry

As an artist your writing & work goes on forever,
I’ll sorely miss the jokes for which you were so clever

To seek, to chase, to live each day unbridled;
It was hard to see you were also tender & mild.

What is it you want us all to learn from this?
We still ain’t sure only know it’s you we’ll deeply miss

Perhaps to live each day as if it were our last?
And go through life with no regret of the past

I will always cherish your words & last mailed letter,
Appreciate you challenging me to always be better

You chose art for the sake of art,
With your girls I know you’ll never part

One thing I know for us you’ll always pray,
To go onward… and Seize The Day. by @nikallred
