✨🪩 Chapter 22 🪩✨

💫What’s your zodiac sign? Since my birthday is today, I’m a cancer 🦀

I had a wonderful day celebrating today and am so grateful for being able to spend it with my loved ones! Books have always been a huge part of my life, so it feels a little weird to slowly get older than the main characters in some of my favourite books - tho it’s not too bad (yet) 🤣

🍒 Are you enjoying your summer reading ? 🍒

I adore all most all of the books I’ve read the past two months! Both Ali Hazelwood books were perfect for summer. I loved Deep End slightly more, because I could relate to the characters a lot 💗 Problematic Summer Romance was great as well, though! I have to confess that I really disliked The Love Hypothesis and didn’t dare to try anything else from her for a while, but it’s safe to say that Ali is definitely winning me over with her recent releases!

Caught Up was another great one! It didn’t hit quite the same as Lights Out, simply because I’m not a fan of the Second Chance trope but listen if anyone can make that trope work it’s Lauren and Nic 🌶️ The spice in this was top notch and for sure matched the current heat outside!

My absolute favourite book, however, has to be A Fate Forged In Fire 🔥 I read it as the book of the month with the book club I’m part of and I’m so glad that gave me the push to pick it up 🤍 It was so immersive and the way the characters were written blew me away. I didn’t expect to love this as much as I did, but after the first few chapters I was HOOKED! I absolutely will be posting a more detailed review for it soon ❤️‍🔥

🪼What are you currently reading?🪼
I’m halfway through Deep End by @alihazelwood and I am loving it! It’s spicy and emotional and I relate to Scarlet way too much (apart from struggling with German since that’s my native language lmao) 🫧
This is my third Hazelwood book and I think it’s gonna be my favourite one ✨
I think summer has got me in the mood for romance, so if you have any recs for me (especially spicy ones 🤌) please send them my way 😌

Better late than never, right? 😅 I’ve been super busy the last couple of months but I’m trying to get back to posting! I read a lot of good books lately, so in spirit of that: let me know what your latest favourite was ✨

How gorgeous is this @fairyloot edition of Iron & Embers?! I’m obsessed with the naked hardcover 🪻🤩
I’m currently reading my way through the Legends of Thezmarr series and I already love Wren so much. I can’t wait to get more of her in Iron & Embers 💖

Have you read any of the Thezmarr books?
Let me know who your favourite character is if you’ve read them! ⚔️

🫧February Wrap-Up🫧

If you’re hearing someone scream about Lights Out from the rooftops, it’s me 😌 That book is living rent free in my head!
I also really enjoyed the other books I read 🌸
Definitely will be continuing the Blood & Steel series because it gives me such a nostalgic feel about romantasy and I’m so invested in Thea’s story ⚔️
Can highly recommend The Hollow Plane if you’re looking for found fantasy and some gorgeous gaslampesque world building 💫
And while L&L didn’t hit me quite as good as Butcher & Blackbird did, it was still a good time 🖤

I did start Fathomfolk before the end of the month, so I’m still reading it but I looove the setting so far! I’m really intrigued by the different characters and how they might connect later on 🌊

Have you read any of these? Or have them on your tbr?

🖤 Anyone else super excited for the release of Scythe & Sparrow? 🖤

I’m so hyped to finally hold the last part of the ruinous love trilogy in my hands 🙌 Butcher & Blackbird was one of my absolute favourites last year! I even saved Leather & Lark until now, so that I can immediately jump into Scythe & Sparrow after finishing it ✨
I’ve been really in the mood for dark romcoms after finishing Lights Out and I think the last two books of the ruinous love trilogy will scratch that itch 😌

🥀 What’s a book high on your tbr? 🥀

I recently got into the Atlas Six series because a friend recommended it to me and I’m thoroughly enjoying it! It made me put One For My Enemy at the top spot of my tbr ❤️‍🔥
I’m so guilty of buying multiple books from the same author without testing if I like their writing style first 💀 Thankfully it seems to have worked out for me this time! ✨

The lovely @rhiannereads inspired me to do this challenge a while ago and I’ve finally found the time to put it together! 💗
I had so much fun picking out my recs for this ✨

Feel free to let me know in the comments which of my picks you’ve read or what you would’ve picked! I’d love to hear 💖

Happy weekend everyone ☀️

Edit: i literally just noticed that instagram messed up the order for 2&4 😭🤦‍♀️ please pretend it’s the right order 🤠

Anyone else been super busy these last few months? 😭
I’ve barely been able to find any free time! I’m so glad the holidays are coming up and I’ll finally get a break🎄
Anyway in terms of books, I’m happy to report that I now completed acotar! And what a journey it was! I’m definitely a Nesta stan, I loved seeing her growth throughout the book 🔥
I think I will dedicate next year to Throne of Glass, since it’s the only SJM series I haven’t finished yet 🤭

If you have read acotar, what was your favourite book? 🌟

🎀What series/book do you want to finish before the next year? 🎀

For me it’s definitely this trilogy! I loved Belladonna and I need to know how the story continues 💓
{Also how pretty is this cover?! I’m obsessed with it!}
I’m on the finish line for the acotar series as well, which has been such a fantastic time! I don’t know if I’m ready to say goodbye to all of the characters (for now at least 🤭)
I only wish uni wouldn’t eat up so much of my reading time at the moment 😭 I can’t wait for the much needed holiday break 🫠

Hope everyone reading this has an amazing day🫶

🍄‍🟫October Reading Wrap-Up 🍄‍🟫

Do you have a favourite book from October?

I absolutely loved Belladonna and Phantasma! Both were just so perfect for spooky season 👻 Reading Phantasma with my book club was so much fun 💜
I love when my books match the weather outside and Belladonna absolutely did that for me. So atmospheric and mysterious! I can only highly recommend it 🎃
If you love the concept of a Shadow Daddy, I think both of these books would scratch that itch 🦇
I can also definitely recommend Don’t Hex and Drive as a sweet and spicy palette cleanser 🔮 I enjoyed how the dynamic evolved between the main characters and the Indian representation!
Lastly, I need someone to tell me if the Plated Prisoner series gets less dark at some point 😅 that first book was veryyy dark. I’m really intrigued by it and want to know how it continues but I’m gonna need a light at the end of the tunnel at some point 🤣

Have a good start into the new month everyone 🍄🍁
