out of 23 startup ideas, picked this one.

freelancers lose money to clients who "approve" work verbally then deny it later. Proof locks every approval with a timestamp — so there's no more he-said-she-said.

The landing page is live. The product is being built right now.

Where Do Startup Ideas Come From?
Good startup ideas are usually not invented—they’re noticed.

Instead of asking, “What app should I build?” start by observing the problems people face every day.

Look for things that are:

- Repeatedly frustrating
- Too expensive
- Too slow
- Difficult to access
- Still being solved with spreadsheets, WhatsApp, or manual work

For example, if students regularly struggle to find affordable meals near campus, that repeated frustration could become a startup opportunity.

The best startup ideas often begin with a simple question:

What problem do people repeatedly experience but still haven’t solved properly?

This is Episode 2 of Zero to Startup, where I’m explaining the journey from identifying a problem to building and launching a startup.

Your task: Comment one problem you notice in your college, workplace, home, or daily life. Don’t suggest a solution yet—just describe the problem.

Save this Reel for your next startup brainstorming session and follow Nikhil · Founder of Proof for Episode 3: Idea vs Problem.

Growth does not come from one thing alone

Without marketing, people do not see you
Without branding, they do not choose you
Without design, they do not trust you
Without content, they do not hear you
Without distribution, they do not find you
Without automation, you cannot scale
Without innovation, you do not stand out
Without proof, they do not believe you

Growth needs all of the above

Which one does your startup need to improve first

Quick question: Is a local café a startup?
Your answer may depend on whether the business is following a proven model or still searching for a scalable one.

A client saying “looks good” feels like a finished approval—until the project becomes complicated.

The message gets buried. File versions get confused. Then the client says, “I thought that was only a draft,” and you’re left searching through old chats trying to prove what they actually approved.

The better approach is to record the exact deliverable your client signs off on.

With Proof, you can upload your PDF, image, or document, send your client one approval link, and receive a timestamped PDF record. Your client does not need to create an account.

Start with your first three approvals free. Tap the link in bio.

Most freelancers don’t lose leverage because their work is bad—they lose it because client approvals are buried in chat apps. Proof turns every sign-off into a clear, timestamped PDF record. Upload your work, send one link, and protect yourself from approval disputes. Start with your first three approvals free. Link in bio. by @nikhilxfounder

The invoice usually isn’t the real problem—the missing approval is. With Proof, your client reviews the exact deliverable and approves it before payment becomes a difficult conversation. You get a timestamped PDF record with the client’s name, approval date, and project details. Set it up in two minutes and start free. by @nikhilxfounder
