If you’re heading to Lima and want ocean views, great service, and a location that puts you right in the middle of everything, Souma Hotel is worth a look.

The views from my room were incredible, the buffet breakfast was actually good (which isn’t always a given 😅), and the rooftop is the perfect spot for sunset drinks and dinner.

It’s also walking distance to the famous Miraflores cliffside promenade that everyone comes to Lima to see… even though somehow I still didn’t make it over there. 😂

Beautiful property, amazing staff, great food, and one of my favorite hotel stays in Lima.

I knew @palmaz_vineyards was beautiful… I was NOT expecting all of this underneath it! From starting with a glass of Riesling, to tasting grapes straight from the vine, exploring the caves, seeing some seriously impressive winemaking technology that made me feel like I was in a superheroes underground hideout 😂 and ending with an incredible food + wine pairing… this was an EXPERIENCE.

Exploring Northern California keeps reminding me just how much I have sitting in my own backyard. And I’m so glad my photographer friend came along to help me capture just how beautiful this place really is. 📸: @wilrosen.la

Planning a Napa wine tour? Put Palmaz on the itinerary. You can thank me later. 🥂

I know I looked crazy digging into that coconut, but listen… this is San Jose, not Bali. I was about to get EVERY dollar’s worth. 😂🥥 And honestly, that’s pretty much how I been doing life these days, too. Enjoy it, dig in, and leave nothing good behind.

Life is short. Scrape the damn coconut.

Turns out an empty nest leaves a LOT of room for activities. 😂
Still figuring out this chapter, but so far… I’m booked, busy, and apparently somebody’s cat mom.

My first EuroTrain ride! I was actually a little nervous doing this by myself because I had NO idea what I was doing. But once I figured it out, it was so much easier than I expected. So hopefully this video helps another first time solo traveler who’s staring at that ticket like…okay, now what? 😂 I get the hype now though. Window seat, Europe going by and another country waiting at the other end. I could definitely get used to this.

400K+ views later and I would just like to formally retract my previous statement: “THAT’S NOT MY CAT.” 😂

Because apparently you don’t risk your life giving a cat a bath, buy her a waterfall, automatic feeder, playpen, toys, automatic litter box, take her to the vet, get her shots, treat her ear infection AND let her sleep on you…unless that is, in fact, your cat.

Welcome home, Akima Ogooué.

First Day in The House for “Not my cat” Akima. I thought she’d feel stuck and be crying to go back outside but NOPE! Now that we got an appt at the vet she’ll be officially “my cat” tomorrow. #spayed #microchip #akimathebengal #notmycat #catdistributionsystem taken in Sacramento, California by @nikigolightly

My face has WiFi now. 😂
One of the things I couldn’t wait to get home to after traveling for 2 months was my RAILIA mask. I’m not gonna lie, at first I thought maybe this thing was a hoax.
Then I used it again after dropping my daughter off at college and that LONG flight home. It calculated the change in my skin, my numbers were tremendously reduced and told me exactly what I needed to get them back up.
Now I’ve been using it for a month, and I can officially say this thing will be adding some extra weight to my carry on from now on. 😂

46 years old and decided my first hip hop class in probably 15 years should be Hip Hop 2… apparently easing back into things isn’t my ministry. And I was doing GOOD too!! An hour of dancing, hitting the floor slide every damn time… until the FINAL run. The one I happened to record. 😒THAT’S when my body decided our agreement had expired.

But I finished! Now I gotta go back so I can finish the rest of my class pack.💥

Some things really do get better with time. 😏🍷

A beautiful afternoon at Palmaz Vineyards, where patience, science and a whole lot of care eventually become something worth pouring. 🥂
And I’m so glad @wilrosen.la photography came along to help capture this one. 📸
