Meet Michelle & Nikilee, the founders behind YachtSocksOnly 💫✨

Over 10 years ago, we were college roommates.

After college, life brought us to different cities

Michelle moved to San Francisco and built a career in wealth management, but she felt pigeonholed and knew she wanted something new. So she left the life society considered “safe” and traded it for something completely different… YACHTING🛥️🛥️

What started as an adventure turned into a career, and she’s now been working as a Chief stew on luxury superyachts for over 6 years now 💫

Nikilee was living in Los Angeles, working in wellness and building community for one of the biggest sports brands in the world. When her contract wasn’t renewed, she was honestly sad AF. She felt lost and had no clue what was next 🥺

So Michelle hired Nikilee as a stew, and somehow now we found ourselves living together again in our 30s… this time on a superyacht 🤣🤣

After watching countless guests slip onboard and realizing there was nothing stylish and functional to wear on yachts, for yoga, Pilates, and wellness classes, we started to think about how we could make the perfect luxury grip socks 🧦

So during busy charters, long days at sea, and every spare moment in between, we did tons of research on socks and worked on our design to produce a luxury grip sock inspired by life on the water and designed for movement everywhere!!

Because YSO isn’t just about socks. It’s about getting a grip, staying grounded, and having the courage to chase something bigger
