DIGITAL CAGE Album by KISSAO is OUT NOW

Well, what can I say — we’re all trapped in a cage.

I’ve been fascinated for a long time by the internet and the way we exist within it, so it naturally became the central theme of this album. What ultimately pushed it even further was the growing influence of AI on online creativity, humor, memes, p*rn, video games, and the loneliness that exists within the very same network where we constantly move from one dopamine hit to the next.

I love internet culture — all the fun, absurdity, and endless stream of ideas that come with it. But at the same time, current trends pushed me back toward more organic ways of creating. Over the last year and a half, I’ve returned to drawing and digital painting, stopped relying on shortcuts in my work, and started focusing more on my own pace and process. Ironically, that only made the fun, the satire, and everything I love about both the internet and creativity burn even brighter.

This is the first full-length album I’ve been producing since 2023, even if it’s not a particularly long one. More than thirty tracks were left behind along the way, becoming part of a chapter that no longer felt relevant.

I hope something in it resonates with you. by @nikitarunin
