Hacienda × Yatai × AJABU Bree Street is about to get shaken, stirred and slightly out of hand. AJABU, Africa’s cocktail and spirits festival, takes over Cape Town from 14 to 22 November, and two of our bars are in on it. At Hacienda, a wild red agave from the Klein Karoo. At Yatai, a gin from three generations of distillers. Our bartenders mix, the city bar-hops, and you get the best seat in the house. Walk in any night and order from the festival menu. Or grab an AJABU wristband for R150 on Quicket and get half-price cocktails at R86 in every participating bar, plus a shot at a trip to Goa. Book your table through the link in bio. Wristbands via the Quicket link in our Stories. @ajabufestival @hacienda_sa @yatai_za by @nikkei_za

End the week around a table full of food. A few plates to share, drinks alongside them and Friday night unfolding at its own pace.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #CapeTownFriday #NikkeiCapeTown #BreeStreetCapeTown #CapeTownDining #DinnerInCapeTown by @nikkei_za
Colour, citrus, heat, texture. The details are vivid, but the plate still feels clean and considered from the first bite to the last.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #JapanesePeruvianCuisine #CapeTownFood #Nikkei #CapeTownEats #BreeStreetEats by @nikkei_za
Bree Street slows into evening and dinner takes over. Good plates, low light and a table with nowhere else it needs to be.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #BreeStreet #CapeTownRestaurants #NikkeiCuisine #CityBowl #CapeTownDinner by @nikkei_za
A shared table has its own pace. One plate arrives, another follows, conversation carries on and nobody is in a hurry to call the meal finished.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #SharedTable #CapeTownDining #NikkeiCapeTown #SaturdayDinner #CapeTownNights by @nikkei_za
Crisp edges, silky textures, fresh acidity and a touch of heat. A good plate keeps giving you something new with each bite.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #CapeTownFoodies #Nikkei #FoodTexture #CapeTownEats #BreeStreetCapeTown by @nikkei_za
Japanese technique gives the food its clarity. Peruvian flavour brings acidity, colour and heat. The result has its own rhythm on the plate.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #NikkeiCuisine #JapanesePeruvian #PeruvianFlavours #JapaneseTechnique #CapeTownFoodScene by @nikkei_za
A clean pour beside dinner, good food moving around the table and Bree Street outside. Friday can be as uncomplicated as that.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #NikkeiCapeTown #CapeTownDinner #BreeStreet #CapeTownDrinks #CapeTownRestaurants by @nikkei_za
A sharp knife, a steady hand, a final touch before the plate leaves the kitchen. Small movements shape what eventually arrives at the table.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #NikkeiKitchen #KitchenCraft #RestaurantKitchen #CapeTownDining #JapanesePeruvian by @nikkei_za
Bree Street at lunchtime. Something fresh on the plate, something cold in the glass and enough time to enjoy both before the afternoon carries on.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #CapeTownLunch #NikkeiCapeTown #BreeStreetEats #CityBowlDining #CapeTownFood by @nikkei_za
Plates landing in the middle of the table, forks moving between them and another round finding its way over. Saturday dinner is better shared.⁣ ⁣ 📍 87 Bree Street, Cape Town⁣ ⁣ Book via nikkei.co.za or the link in bio⁣ ⁣ Part of the Pan Collection @yatai_za @scalapasta @hacienda_sa @maru__za @burgerlobstersa @ironsteaksa⁣ ⁣ #Nikkei #CapeTownDinner #BreeStreetCapeTown #SharedPlates #CapeTownNights by @nikkei_za
