Send your foodie zine recommendations, would love to hear everyone’s favs.

After a busy year head deep in events, I took a break to reset, think more intentionally, and see what’s happening outside of Come Together. I caught up on what others are building, the range of opinions shaping the industry, and the shifting mood around food right now.

Hitting pause also meant easing off social media and refusing to be ruled by the algorithm. What’s grounded me instead has been picking up zines from friends, guests, and mutual connections I’ve met over the past year.

If you feel pressured to finish a novel before even starting, or endlessly scrolling, convincing yourself it’s intentional R&D, try something different. Put your phone away, make a cup of tea, and settle in with a light, tangible read. Sometimes perspective and the yearning to create returns when you simply slow down.

In one sitting choose an article to read, and you’ll find yourself hooked on more.

Here are my most current reads:
1. @chickenandbreadzine - By @hopelaurenashley who dined at our Test Kitchen Club last year. Since then I’ve been meaning to give this a read. I’ve just picked it up today so I’d love to know anyone’s fav bits if you’ve indulged.

3. IN SERVICE - ‘A trend report, of sorts’ by our friends @gemmabellandco and Editor in Chief @panayiotasoutis
4. @toothsome_magazine - By @ashley_yun who joined us at our Girls In Film collab last year. Issue 02 - From Minimal to Maximal can be pre-ordered now.
5. @famousformydinnerparties - Speaking truths on food fads By Junshen, Sandra & Yannic. Issue 003 is already out now.
