As you head off to Columbia today, I want you to remember that you belong in every room you walk into. This week isn’t just about learning medicine it’s about discovering how capable, intelligent and resilient you truly are. Ask questions. Make new friends. Step outside your comfort zone and most importantly don’t be afraid to shine. Every doctor started where you are..curious & ready to learn.
I’m so proud of the young woman you’re becoming. You’ve worked hard for opportunities like this, and I know you’re going to make the most of every moment this week. Remember who you are and always keep God first and know I will be here cheering you on every single day. I can’t wait to hear about all your adventures when you get home. Go make memories. Go grow. Go dream even bigger.

My mood is Young Cali in slide #6 😂😩

I had to dust off my Spanish-speaking skills and put on my translator hat while in DR 🇩🇴😂 And baby… when you don’t use it, you LOSE it! 😭 I was out there struggling a lil’ bit, but one thing about it, I still looked GOOD speaking the little bit I still remembered. 😂💅🏽🫣

Happy 45th Wedding Anniversary to my Mommy & Daddy. ❤️🥂

I was just 3 years old in this picture, standing beside them on the day they said “I do.” Of course I had no idea then what 45 years of marriage would mean or how special it would be to one day look back at this picture and realize I had a front row seat to a love story that would span nearly my entire life. 🥹❤️

45 years of life together. Raising a family, growing, changing, overcoming, forgiving, laughing, loving, and continuing to choose one another through every season.

The older I get, the more I understand just how rare and beautiful that is. I’m incredibly grateful that I’ve had the privilege of witnessing this love firsthand.

Your love has never had to be perfect to be beautiful. It’s real. It’s enduring. And 45 years later, you’re still choosing each other. That is something worth celebrating. ❤️

Happy 28th Birthday to my firstborn, Cheyanne Autumn. ❤️

It’s almost surreal to think that when I gave birth to you, I was younger than you are today. In so many ways, we grew up together. I was still learning who I was as a woman while learning how to be your mother and somehow, through all of those years of growing and figuring life out, we created a bond that is truly one of a kind.

People always joke that you’re my favorite child 😂, but what they don’t understand is US. There’s something about our connection that feels deeper than this lifetime. Sometimes I truly believe we must have been sisters in another life.

Watching you become the woman you are today has been one of my greatest joys. I am so proud of the mother and wife you’ve become, and your family is incredibly blessed to have you loving and caring for them the way you do.

And this birthday feels extra special because, for the first time in a long time, you’re celebrating stateside, and I actually get to spend your day with you. 🥹❤️

Cheyanne, I love you immensely. I thank God for choosing me to be your mother in this lifetime. And somehow, I know that no matter how many lifetimes there are after this one, I will find you in every single one.

What an incredible weekend! 🙏🏾🏀

Thank you to JunkFood All American Camp @junkfoodthelabel for giving me the opportunity to compete, learn, and showcase my game against some of the best players in the country. Every rep, every matchup, and every lesson made me better.

Huge thank you to Coach Ralph @ralphjennings and Coach K @kavon.martez for believing in me, pushing me, and constantly reminding me to trust the process. Your encouragement means more than you know.

I’m grateful for everyone who supported me this weekend. This is only the beginning. I’ll keep working, stay humble, and come back even better.
