A solo exhibition by Maria Kostareva, “Transit,” opens at NIKO.

The works, previously presented as part of the artist’s major solo project in Sydney, continue their journey and will be in Yerevan for several months.

“Transit” explores the state of being in-between — when one place has already been left behind, while the new one has not yet become a final destination. In Maria’s paintings, this transition unfolds through dreamlike urban spaces, architecture, colour and a sense of inner movement.

Visual Voice has complemented the NIKO space with an art project, integrating Maria’s works into the restaurant’s interior.

The exhibition is on view from September 22 to November 22.
