Today’s felt heavy with lots of tears and emotions coming up.

Today marks 5 years from one of the best shifts & days in my life. The day I became a mom. & not a mom in the sense that I birthed you from my body, but a mom nonetheless. A mom who became changed by a sweet floppy ear’d little boy who needed love and a place to lay his head.

It honestly feels weird to not have you here physically to celebrate today, together. However, I will continue to celebrate this pivotal day that changed my life for the better, in your honor. You made me a better person.

I miss you every single moment of every day. You mean so much to me. I carry you with me every where I go, & when life feels hard, I push on because I know you’re my biggest cheer leader in the other realm telling me to keep reaching for my dreams.

GoFundMe Share to help support PIHMA faculty and staff through the schools imminent closure, April 22. 2026.

I couldn’t be more grateful for our faculty and staff through all of this. They truly are the heart of PIHMA. With that said, they have not been paid since February and will likely not be paid for all the hours and energy they have and currently are putting in to make sure they see us through this semester.

There was hopes that after the semester ended, they would see some pay from the selling off of assets, however, our locks were changed 2 weeks ago and the landlord has seized all the property inside, :( due to not being paid rent.

I have shared the link to the gofundme in my bio links. It has been created by the staff for the staff, to hopefully get them some money for all the hard work and love they have put in to us students and our educations.

Our teachers truly deserve to be compensated.

Sitting in observation is tricky for me. Yet an important skill that keeps coming up for me lately. To realize you can’t get by on hope and a dream alone. & know when something is no longer for you & to be okay to let it go. The rainbow presents itself after the storm, if you can’t sit in or even sometimes dance in the storm and wait it out, you won’t receive the gift of colors and prisms of light on the other side, or is the storm the, under cover, ‘gift.’ Who’s to say?

I often wonder, how did we get here? To this state, this level? I have so many conversations of a better world with strangers, yet we currently are here, in a country that seems to be dragging its name & everything we are to stand upon, into the trash. We literally bombed a school, (& I’m sure not the first) for what? Promise of oil? Money? & it’s not even being talked about. We don’t need oil, if we don’t have it. There are always alternatives.

So, as I sit here, observing, I ask myself a lot of questions. Questions I’d love answers and action to follow.

I know it all begins with you, but when is this little ripple going to grow into the massive tsunami of change we so desperately need as the human race.

Anyways, at least I got Jerry and his sweet smiles to remind me immense joy can come in small packages 🐾 by @niko.la.kat

Lately I’ve felt a lot like this turtle. & he/she has brought me a lot of comfort with showing himself again on campus 🐢

It’s okay to retreat into the darkness from time to time, the darkness can provide nourishment as well. However, it’s always important to return to the light, and come above water for air.

In life, it’s a constant game of balance with yin and yang, light and dark, open and close. We need both equally, because when we throw one out we dry out, or we fill up like a sponge that desperately needs rung out. (We all watched SpongeBob)
