Ok yes this was scary and yes we did have to sign death waivers 😅 but it was also beautiful!!!@hawaiioceanadventuretours made the entire process so smooth, and gave us the confidence and education we needed to overcome the common, overhyped fear of sharks. If you’ve ever visited O’ahu (or even just seen pictures/videos like this!), you’ve likely noticed the island’s dramatic mountain ridges. This particular set of ridges comes from the ancient, extinct Ko’olau shield volcano. It was shaped by millions of years (~2-3 million) of rain, wind, and landslides peeling the range into narrow ridges. Spending two weeks in La Libertad, or the “Freedom” region of El Salvador, was pure magic!! There is something so special about slowing down the pace of everyday life and listening to the natural world around you. We were blessed with incredible waves, delicious local food from the ocean and land, and great company. The final boss of medical education — Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship — has finally been defeated!! The past three years have been an absolute wave of an adventure, full of highs and lows, lots of travel, new hobbies, heartbreaks, newfound love, and forever friendships. I’m beyond excited to take everything I’ve learned over the last 14 years with me to my first “big boy” job in Hawai‘i this fall — as one of its newest ICU doctors! 2024 was probably the most insanely packed year I’ve ever had. From island hopping in the Philippines, to chasing waves in Nicaragua, to seeing @odesza for the 82728th time, to Vegas, San Diego, Canada, San Francisco, Big Sur, @domdolla, @gorgoncity, @blondish, @followthefishtv, @whomadewhoofficial, @azzecca, @jackiehollander, @johnsummit, a thousand other suitcases packed and moments I don’t have the words for. But truly, this video is just meant to be a love letter to the people in my life. You are my family, my home, my whole entire heart and soul. And to all of you here… thank you for making my dreams come true, of finally making a real career out of being an (insane) creative person, and for allowing me to do what I love most in this entire world: being a kid and experiencing everything I can with the people I love. Ilysm 2024. I know you’re the type of year we look back on over and over as we get older… I hope this year we ALL remind ourselves of what is real. It’s not work it’s not taxes it’s not government it’s not society - it’s each other, it’s the earth, it’s being alive by connecting to both. Please book the trip quit the job sell the feet pics.
