Mumbai is a living, breathing character, full of constant motion and shifting lights, so to shoot a cinematic slice of it, the new Nikon ZR became the perfect choice for #DOP, Shreya Dev Dube.

Shooting across crowded streets and hopping on local trains, the light weight made handheld shooting effortless along with perfect detailing of frames with the help of the massive 4-inch screen. Adding to that, the clarity of 32-bit float audio made the hustle-bustle of the flower markets really come alive.

Elements is a film that touches the basic structure of our existence, brought alive with #NikonZR

Compact in size, the cam still proved to be a beast with amazing stabilisation during the drone shots. Other features like OZO audio made the beach scenes dynamic with the ambient sound of crashing waves.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve put the NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S through real-world shoots, from model portraits and music videos to challenging low-light scenes.
What impressed me most wasn’t just the incredible sharpness at f/1.2, but how naturally it separates the subject while keeping the image feeling authentic and delivering edge-to-edge sharpness even at f/1.2. Every frame has a depth that’s difficult to describe until you experience it yourself.
Built for creators who demand uncompromising image quality, reliability, and consistency.
For me, this isn’t just another 50mm.
