The Return to Tupendeo
.
Some mountains don’t just occupy a place on the horizon; they linger in your conscience. In 2024, circumstances kept me away, leaving an empty space in my portfolio and an unhealed ache in my heart for Tupendeo.
.
But the Himalayas have their own way of healing old regrets.
.
Returning here in 2026 felt less like a planned expedition and more like a quiet summons—a second chance granted by the mountains to witness absolute grace. Standing in front of Tupendeo’s majestic aura isn’t merely about capturing a frame; it’s a humbling, soul-stirring experience that digital glass can only ever whisper, never truly shout.
.
This trip was extra special because I finally got to test out the flagship @leofotoindia LG-285C tripod. It handled the high-altitude conditions with incredible stability and reliability. I also tried the @mecoindia square filter system for the first time, and I was really impressed by how it delivered fantastic results without any unwanted color shifts. And of course, my trusty @nikonindiaofficial Z8 paired with the 14-30mm f/4 lens was right there with me, helping me stay true to my signature style every step of the way.

This isn’t just landscape photography. It’s a testament to patience, hard-earned gear synergy, and the raw beauty of coming home to the peaks that define us.

A moment you notice.
A detail you remember.
A thought that refuses to leave.

As writers, perhaps one of the first things we learn is not how to write, but how to notice.

That wraps up 51 overall and the 11th workshop of 2026—and it was truly one of a kind!

Back in 2024, I first visited this place just to scope out the base camp of this majestic peak for photography. Fast forward to this year: advance camps photographed and a massive thank you to the incredible participants who trusted this vision, and a huge shoutout to the amazing support team at @kishtwar_himalayan_adventures , @kishtwarhimalayas and @abhishek4o4 for making it an absolute dream come true. ❤️
