With grit, determination and unwavering spirit, the trainees of 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟐𝟗𝟏 have successfully completed their journey into the world of adventure and endurance.From mastering 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝, to understanding essential 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, the trainees underwent a comprehensive foundation in mountaineering skills.The highlight of the course was the rigorous hands-on training in 𝐈𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 and 𝐒𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭 at the majestic Dokriani Bamak, where trainees pushed their limits in challenging high-altitude conditions.The graduation ceremony was graced by 𝐂𝐨𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐡, Principal JIM&WS and Principal NIM, who presided over the occasion and congratulated the trainees on their successful completion of the course.This course not only built technical competence but also instilled discipline, teamwork and resilience in them.Congratulations to all trainees for this remarkable achievement! by @nim_india

The Sport Climbing Course Serial No. 13 at NIM Uttarkashi is progressing with great enthusiasm and energy.The trainees are undergoing rigorous and systematic training in all three disciplines of sport climbing—𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠—under the expert guidance of NIM instructors. Rajpurohit, who assumed charge as Principal, NIM on 29 June 2026.Commissioned into the Indian Army on 08 June 2002, he brings over 24 years of distinguished military service and extensive expertise in mountaineering, high-altitude operations, adventure training and leadership.An accomplished mountaineer and qualified skydiver, he has completed the Basic & Advance Mountain Warfare and Winter Warfare Courses from HAWS, as well as a Mountain & Cold Weather Operations Course in New Zealand. His achievements include summiting Mt. Machoi and Peak D-41, participation in the Mt. Bhagirathi II Expedition and 70+ airborne descents, including free-fall jumps from ALH, C-130 and AN-32 aircraft.We extend our warmest welcome and wish him every success as he leads NIM to new heights, carrying forward its legacy as India's Premier Mountaineering Institute. by @nim_india

Advance Mountaineering Course 183 (Ladies) and Basic Mountaineering Course 293 (Ladies) concluded successfully at NIM, marking another milestone in empowering women through adventure and mountaineering.The trainees underwent rigorous training in Rock Craft, Ice Craft and Snow Craft, demonstrating determination, resilience and teamwork. In a remarkable achievement, the trainees of AMC 183 carried out their high-altitude training at Rudugaira Base Camp and successfully summited 𝐌𝐭. 𝐑𝐮𝐝𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐚 (𝟓,𝟖𝟏𝟗 𝐦), reviving this ascent after 16 years.𝐒𝐡𝐫𝐢 𝐍𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐣 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐤, 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, Ministry of Defence, graced the Graduation Ceremony of both courses as the Chief Guest.
