@yako440 & Godbody108 @patrickdougher – Dub In Full

Vinyl RE Red @heavy_sound_and_vision

A5 - Nothing To Dub Wit
B2 - Dub Thing
B3 - Dub Poppa

Golden-era hip-hop classics reimagined through dub. Born from studio visits and a shared love of both sounds, this collaboration brings together @yako440 and Godbody108 @patrickdougher, with horns from The Rudie Crew.

The interview on the sleeve adds another layer: two different upbringings, each finding a connection between hip-hop and reggae, eventually coming together on this record.

Otis Gayle – I’ll Be Around

2026 RE @studioonerecords

A – Otis Gayle – I’ll Be Around Part 1
A – Otis Gayle – I’ll Be Around Part 2
B – The Sound Dimension – I’ll Be Around Ver. Part 1
B – The Sound Dimension – I’ll Be Around Ver. Part 1

A record I’ve wanted in my collection. Otis Gayle's 1972 reggae-soul take on The Spinners’ classic, with The Sound Dimension’s version on the flip.

This one has a small family connection, too. In the early 1970s, One of my mothers co-workers was the wife of one of the spinners' members in Oakland, California. Makes finally owning this record feel a little more special.

I actually found four more that weren’t cataloged properly, and it got me thinking that I might mix in some non-reggae in my posts once in a while. Eventually, I’d love to highlight one or two songs from each album and what they meant to me.

August has been a tough month, and hearing about the passing of Dolly Parton was a heavy blow. 💔 I wanted to share a piece of my vinyl collection today in her honor. It’s a work in progress, but these albums mean the world to me.

Growing up, Dolly was a staple in my home. I have such warm memories of watching her movies with my relatives, and one of my earliest memories is watching her and Kenny Rogers sing “Islands in the Stream” on TV.

Dolly was famous for her flashy, self-made look, but behind the rhinestones was a woman of pure genius and unmatched heart. She quietly changed the world, donating to endless causes and sending over 330 million books to young children through her Imagination Library all in honor of her father, who never learned to read.

Thank you, Dolly, for blessing us with your life. Your “Coat of Many Colors” kept me warm for many years. You were a true original, and you will be missed beyond words. 🕊️✨ #dollyparton #ripdollyparton #iwillalwaysloveyou #musiclegend #islandsinthestream by @nimafari
