just two weeks before you left i saw you at our favorite place, and swore we would get together again soon. just a few hours before you left we talked about our jobs and how excited we were for each other to have found our places in life, serving others. now, we have to say goodbye to you. you grew up to be a pilot and a Marine, and i have always been in awe of your accomplishments, your strength, and your desire to serve. to me, you’ll always be my cousin Willie. you’ll always be the little boy running around in an army outfit, the teenager who wrestled his sisters and cousins (and you didn’t go easy on us) and the young man who made us so proud. growing up together was a gift i’ll cherish until we meet again. i miss you, and there will forever be a space in our hearts that can never be filled. i can’t wait to see you again buddy. i’ll look for you in the sky since that was your favorite place to be, and i’ll remember you laughing. may you rest in eternal peace ✈️❤️🪽 by @ninabollmus
