Many of you have most likely seen the clip of the USA Men’s Hockey team laughing it up with Trump about “having to invite the women”. Before I go further I want to say I am so proud of ALL of our medalists - ok that out of the way - the men finally won after a drought of over 40 years - amazing and incredible not denying it - well take a look at the women’s record. We always have to do it better to get the recognition that is deserved - and the women declined the invite - you go girls!!! by @ninaboone

Words matter - in this article summary of the downfall of the individuals is blamed on the RELEASE of the Epstein files - when the journalist needs to be more responsible in his words and state that the individuals BEHAVIOR and that persons whose actions that they made consciously and willfully is the cause of the “tarnishing of reputations” -call it what it is - the release is just prompting accountability by @ninaboone

Another terrific day in the Amazon! A small and wonderful village that depends greatly on the cruise ship trade and an amazing place to take a great trip thru an Amazon River inlet! Boca De Valeria did not disappoint! And as we sailed away the sunset was just stunning!!! by @ninaboone

Well the rainforest did not disappoint - while a bit quiet due to the morning and the rain - the plants and insects were very interesting and the information regarding them even more interesting!! Here is a spider - about 6 million inches across that they coaxed out of his cave - super chill - however there is a wasp that slides underneath him and stings him, lays its eggs on the body and then when the eggs hatch the babies eat the spider!! A true circle of life dependent on the entirety of the eco system! by @ninaboone

Well today was a success and I stepped onto Amazon soil in the form of a short visit in Pintarins - very cute - a Sunday so less open then would have been another day but just a quaint little village right on the river! A few photos for your enjoyment and with luck we will head into the forest tomorrow by @ninaboone

Today was supposed to be a 3 hour walk thru part of the Amazon - the lungs of our planet. That did not happen because of protests by the indigenous people at the tender dock. While disappointing when I searched for what they are protesting about I agree with what they are fighting for. Corporations don’t care about them or our environment - it is the almighty dollar that they are determined to have and the hell with everything else. My hope is that we can alight in Manaus for 2 days of tracking this great rainforest. So no photos today only some knowledge sharing by @ninaboone

King Neptune appeared on Insignia this morning as we prepare to cross the equator later this afternoon! His job was to turn those Polywogs (those who have never crossed the equator) in to Shellbacks (those of us who have!) bu kissing the fish amd then bowing to the King for baptizing !!! Success!!! Crossing around 3:00pm and on to Santerem!!! by @ninaboone
