Thought I’d introduce myself properly.

I’m Nina Liburd — the person behind this page and the work you see here.

Over the years, I’ve been building a world through characters and garments, and this space has become where those universes begin to exist.

My process often starts with film, storytelling and memory — creating characters and environments before translating them into clothing. In that way, fashion and film feel inseparable to me, both able to carry emotion and create space for identity.

I’ve come to see clothing as a kind of home — something shaped by memory, by the people who make it, and by the person who wears it. Every piece is made by hand, with that in mind.

What began as something very personal is slowly becoming something I’m ready to share more fully.

From working with the likes of André 3000, Tommy Hilfiger and legendary photographer Szilveszter Makó, fashion designer Nina Liburd shows us just how far creative vision, discipline and a little bit of self-belief can take you! ✨

After years working across fashion and recently venturing into film with her first ever fashion short film ‘The Giants’ picked up at both London + Berlin fashion film festivals.

Nina takes on the journey of how she navigated her in-house career, moved cities for love, and the daily rituals that keeps her mentally + spiritually grounded.

I’ve been learning so much, it’s a privilege to go through this process and take on such an important, distinctive craft. The academy is the pinnacle of sartorial excellence, and I’m ready to fully embody it.

We sat down with emerging fashion designer Nina Liburd. After working in-house with brands like COS + Tommy Hilfiger, she’s now building her own path through her self-titled line.

She takes us back to her daily grind working at Le Labo, to sharing the stories of how the likes of Frida Kahlo and Lynn Hershman Leeson changed the way she defined identity.

It was so beautiful working on this dress for @ranaayvaz ❤️

We focused on creating the perfect, lightweight dress that she could run around in during Fête de la Musique.

After having several fittings and moulding the dress to her body so it fit exactly, this was the end result.

Most of the dress was stitched by hand, to ensure the details stayed intact.
