we have been running through airports a lot lately… from barcelona to mallorca, from columbus to portland, from chicago to columbus. this is the part of traveling the world that many people don’t see, and we have been living it a lot lately.

the fact that i am even able to run again, after an incredibly complex hip surgery a year ago and a year and a half of PT, is insane to me. but by the grace of God, and through the fantastic orthopedic surgery and physical therapy departments at @osuwexmed i can not only move my left leg again, and walk, but i can run. and run fast…

thank you to every surgeon, therapist, and hand that got me here.

life is so precious. i have a whole new perspective on life now, and although it’s stressful to run through airports, i am so glad that i can.

Hi friends! Before I say goodbye to Columbus, I wanted to bring people back to where my love for hospitality started. This gathering, hosted in partnership with @artisans_and (run by my dear friends Lisa and Brooks), is curated as one last experience with my mom before I move to Georgia. Growing up, she put on “Japan Day” for my entire elementary school, pulling in her Japanese friends to teach the traditions of kimono, tea, ikebana, and koto. She’s exposed me to a lifetime of world travel and hospitality, and that spirit is at the heart of everything I’m building now with @suzukisanstudio

Stop by to say hi or bye, browse the beautifully designed store, and witness an authentic tea ceremony led by Urasenke Tea Master Yumiko. Watch as matcha is prepared the way it was always meant to be: unhurried, intentional, quietly beautiful.

happy birthday to my dear friend jacquilyn!!!

we’ve shared so many beautiful moments together. the kind of laughter that makes your stomach hurt, the conversations that turn into something deeper, and you being genuinely one of the funniest people i know. somewhere along the way, our friendship turned into sisterhood, and i feel eternally blessed for it.

you are one of the most genuine, warm, and beautiful souls, the kind of person who shows up fully, makes people feel seen, and brings light with you wherever you go. i feel really lucky our paths crossed the way they did (at work lol).
