A little piece of tennis history around my neck.

Having played tennis myself, I’m especially drawn to the story behind the name. What was once known as an eternity or line necklace became the “tennis necklace” after a memorable moment in 1987, when Chris Evert’s diamond bracelet broke during a US Open match and play was paused while she searched for the diamonds.

What I find so elegant is how effortlessly it works with everything. Even the simplest white T-shirt feels instantly more polished with a little tennis around the neck.

From the tennis court to everyday elegance. A classic with a story.

After shooting for @schubartgoldschmiede , I was invited to visit their store and atelier in Düsseldorf.

Simone, a goldsmith who works alongside her husband Julius, a fourth-generation Schubart goldsmith, welcomed me into their world. She taught me about Roségold, Greygold, Platinum and Silver, while sharing the passion and craftsmanship behind every piece.

And I finally found the perfect bangle I had been searching for: timeless, minimal and shaped by hand from a single piece. And as if the day wasn’t special enough, @simoen_lemon and @juliusschu surprised me with an early birthday gift. 🤍
