Thank you to everyone that called, texted, or pulled up today to help us! The fire caused damage to the restaurant and unfortunately we are now temporarily closed until further notice. 😔

Thankfully no one was hurt and although this is a devastating blow to our Team, our family, and our community, this is a knock down, NOT a knock out! We’ll be back as soon as we can, better than ever and ready to put on for our city! 🫡 See you soon ❤️ by @nineteen21sf

Our community auntie Tracy Griffin, an SF Black Wall Street member, came through and blessed @nineteen21sf with powerful artwork and pillows honoring the original founders of Tulsa’s Black Wall Street. For those who don’t know, 1921 marks the year that legacy was violently destroyed. Our space was built to remember, restore, and reimagine what our ancestors started—and these gifts are a beautiful reminder that we are walking in purpose.

Nineteen21 Lounge is open tonight ‘til 11PM. Pull up for soul food, good drinks, and a vibe you won’t find anywhere else in the City. by @nineteen21sf

Before we dive into posting about the wonderful events that happened today, I want to take a moment to acknowledge three incredible entrepreneurs and leaders: @only1tinisch, @iamgigi.theboss, and @baddboddie, for launching their luxurious exclusive business, @nineteen21sf.

This initiative is a game changer on both a personal and nonprofit level. The goal has always been, and will continue to be, to build and fund our own ventures independently, without allowing higher-ups to dictate our decisions, influence changes, or shape our destiny. These three powerful black queens are paving the way for transformation, and there is much we can all learn from their example.

Don’t wait for assistance from a system that fails to understand your community or organization; instead, create what is best for you and your legacy to rebuild your community the right way.

And that’s how you shutdown February 28th with a bang! ✊🏾 taken in Bayview-Hunters Point, San Francisco by @nineteen21sf

“We are in the fabric of this city.” The women of @sfblackwallstreet_org pour into their community, tirelessly. They created @nineteen21sf for community.

The name pays homage to the 1921 Tulsa massacre and remembering that history. People will always have opinions and narratives when it comes to San Francisco & certain neighborhoods from afar. But, there are hidden gems everywhere in this city, including the Bayview. You just have find it.

A ribbon cutting for @nineteen21sf is tomorrow, Friday 2/28. Also, check out @gumbosocial & @smokesoulsf on Third St. - owned by Bayview natives.

🙏 @only1tinisch @iamgigi.theboss @baddboddie for sharing this space with us.

We built this space with love, for US, by US—something our community can truly be proud of. Deep gratitude to our families for laying the foundation that allows us to continue uplifting our people.

The grand opening of @nineteen21sf is just the beginning, and we’re honored to build alongside incredible Black businesses like @gumbosocial, @smokesoulsf, @letseatbbqandmore, @sunbeltgallery, and @yvonnessouthernsweets right here on the Third Street corridor.

A heartfelt thank you to @nbcbayarea, @christineni, @themarcuswashington, John, and the entire team for highlighting our community and the legacy we’re carrying forward.

And much love to our digital team @acesince1990, @godschild.p, @celoveg, and orisabelen for helping us share this vision with the world.

This is just the beginning! #BlackExcellence #LegacyBuilding by @nineteen21sf
