2nd 5K in a row..
the @wickedwinerun was soooo much fun.
I had a blast with my cousin @your_esthetician_latasha_ before the actual run even started!
It was hot af, there were multiple hills… but WE MADE IT TO THE FINISH LINE.. where there was wine waiting for us! 🏅🥂

I’m ready for my next 5K. I think I want to train for the future ones though. Because it’s not for the week!

Everybody keeps asking, “So what do you do?”

And honestly… the answer changes depending on the day.

Some days I’m deep in insurance.
Some days I’m learning wine.
Some days I’m stepping into rooms, mic in hand, that I once felt out of place in.

For a long time, that made me feel like I wasn’t focused enough.

Like I needed to “pick something” and stick to it.

But I’m starting to realize…
this might just be what building looks like for me.

Trying things.
Learning fast.
Paying attention to what sticks.

Not everything connects yet.
Not everything makes sense yet.

To my angel in heaven, my daughter, Zamirah 🕊️
7 years flew by so quickly. I guess that’s why it feels like only
yesterday, you left us.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I miss you. I can’t explain how painful it is to not have you here with us.

Daily, I find myself thinking.. wondering what you would be like if you were still here, physically. How life would be if I still got to see your smile, and experience your physical presence. How great of a big sister you would be, the oldest of your siblings, bossing them around and keeping them in line. What a sight that would be to see.

All we have is memories, and oh how special they are. But what I wouldn’t give to have just one more day with you.

today, many people have asked how I feel. I think, the bottom line is I feel blessed. Blessed to have the privilege of being your mommy. Blessed to have the memories with you. Blessed to see you in your siblings. Blessed to have the support system that we’ve had throughout this whole journey.

Your LLC is not a force field.
