Beijing UIPM Obstacle World Championships recap 💫

100m course - 5th place 15U
400m course - 5th place 15U
3km course - 5th place 15U
4x100m relay - 1st place 19U

This competition was one of the most fun, challenging (not having all my usual friends, everything in a different language, being unmedicated and the heat was tough), and rewarding that I have done. None of the obstacles are overly difficult on their own, but competing against athletes who get to practice this course all the time compared to our 1 training day and learning on the fly puts an extra level of pressure on each race.

Overall I am happy with my performances but I know where I need to improve if I am to be more competitive next time. I am so grateful for the opportunities I have to compete at this level and cherish every moment ❤️

UIPM Obstacle World Champs Beijing - 🥇 4x100m relay

I was honoured to be asked by the team from Israel 🇮🇱 to join their U19 4x100m relay. I have been in awe of their speed all week and to have a chance to race with them was amazing and I didn’t want to let them down. Luckily we all had a great run and we came away with the gold medal!!

You are all awesome athletes:
Eran Tzur
Gal Shafriri
Roni Golan (@roni_golan__ )
and thank you for making me feel so welcome as part of your team. This is definitely one of my favourite things about competing internationally - the new friends you make along the way 🥰 Congratulations to Team Australia for 🥈 and Team Philippines for 🥉

Thank you to @theuipm for such a fun event, I am hoping that I get to compete in it again sometime. Coach @ninja_abbstar for getting me ready for this competition and @lskd for the Israeli coloured outfit 😊

I had the most amazing month with my absolute BFF @suzieq_tornado 🥰 Yes we travel to the USA for Worlds, but the fact that I get to see my best friend is the icing on the cake.

We had so many laughs, danced and sang karaoke, did so much ninja, and we just hung out and enjoyed each other’s company. I am so grateful that I get to spend this time close to you making so many wonderful memories, rather than just on FaceTime around school and sports.

I am so proud of you SuzieQ and how hard you have worked, training with more intensity, managing your nutrition, and always giving it your all. You are amazing and I can’t wait to see what is in store for you next!!

Even though we are thousands of miles away, I’m always here for you and can’t wait until I get to hug you again. Love you bestie ❤️

UNAA World Championships- Finals run 🌟

I am so proud of Izzy for this run and how hard she fought through. After taking a rough fall on the 4th obstacle, she struggled through the rest of the course winded and with very little oxygen (her lips were blue when she came off at the end 😳). We took her to the doctors and X-rays afterwards and found that she had bruised her lungs (who knew you could do that??)

I am amazed at how much determination she showed to not give up and just give it her all. She ended up 16th in the world for 13U females which is a great achievement in a stacked field of competitors.

Thank you so very much to all those who gave endless support (you can hear @suzieq_tornado and @ninjagirl_24 in the background ❤️) and coach @ninja_abbstar for debriefing the prelims and running through our game plan together.

UNAA World Championships - Prelim full run

After tackling the first half of this course about an hour earlier in the short run, I was looking forward to trying the last few obstacles. I’m happy that I went a bit faster in the beginning but couldn’t quite pull off the full moves on the last two (watermelon and bar hop). It was enough to get me through to finals the next day though so I was ecstatic with that!

USA Ninja World Cup 🇺🇸

I finally got to hit a buzzer in the 100m World Cup course! Could still have improved on my time in lots of areas (cliffhangers and removing backswings 🙄) but this run got me through to the elimination quarter finals which was fun 😃

Thanks so much to my support squad in the USA and back in Australia 💛💚 and of course @suzieq_tornado for running along side me taking video 🎥 and cheering me on!

FINA Ninja vs Ninja World Finals 🌟

This is one of my favourite formats of racing, but for some reason that day my body just wasn’t doing what I wanted it to! I spent way too long on the cliffhanger line and missed the cutoff for finals by a few seconds. I was definitely disappointed with my speed on this course but had a great time later on cheering on my friends in the elimination races.

FINA Speed 13U World Finals 🏃🏽‍♀️

Day 2 was my 2 speed runs for FINA. In my first run I didn’t trust my dismounts and took too many backswings so timed out climbing up the warped wall (13U females had a 45 second time limit). For my second run I managed to take out the extra backswings on the dismounts and got a clear run in 37.24 seconds which got me top 20! I still had some spots where I hesitated and could have gone faster so I know what I need to work on going forwards.

Thank you everyone for your constant support - it really helps to keep me going through the long comp days ❤️

FINA Endurance 13U world finals 💪🏼

In a stacked field of 86 talented females I am grateful to have placed 21st 😃 This course was lots of fun and I felt really good for most of it (until I was mid air with the flying bar 😳). I wish I hadn’t freaked out and had held onto the bar to complete that final obstacle but I’m happy with how far I have come.

🎥 @suzieq_tornado thanks for the great video recording
❤️ @ninja_abbstar for your wonderful distance coaching

WNL World Championships Stage 3 🤩

So grateful to get to try this course and compete against so many amazing female athletes. Burnout style courses are not my favourite so I am proud that I got to the same obstacle as most of the other competitors (6 females made it past that obstacle). Also being able to get top 31 in stage 3 (so close to top 30). Thanks to my favourite coach @ninja_abbstar for helping me through the entire competition from home. Thanks also to @caseogden for stepping in to coach me for my stage 3 at the last minute.
