Today is my dad’s birthday! I just wanted to share this because I’m grateful for everyday with him and our endless hours of watching every Star Trek, every single Walking Dead, pizza Sundays and owning weird little dogs. Give him some birthday love if you know him or if you don’t. You have all weekend. I’ll dig up embarrassing pictures of me to share! by @ninjalilli

2.5 days of some well needed rain but I personally need some sun. Thinking about the desert some more.

Sometimes you choose colors you think are going to work great but they kind of don’t so you just ride with it.

Today’s drawing party theme: Saturday Morning! PJ’s, cereal, & cartoons! My friends illustrated favorite childhood cereals in their style. We used mini boxes of cereal to flip them inside out and drew our interpretations. We reminisced about cereal mascots and favorite cartoons. What was your favorite cereal??? 🥣

Those who know me know how much I love the west, the south west, the desert, the mountains and those amazing national parks. I have a longing to go back every year. I encouraged some of you that no matter what goes on in the world the importance of breaking from your comfort, your screens, your news feeds and see and feel what is around you… while it’s still here. I can’t put these feelings into words but being in nature helps heal the dark stuff inside. Last year we visited Mesa Verde National Park. It was amazing to see how once a civilization lived. We were fortunate to be able to see the structures and get into some of the spaces and just imagine what life was life in these cliffs. Little me who looked up to fictional characters like Indiana Jones, who wanted to be an archaeologist actually would have been terrified to climb some of these ladders! Adult me handled alright. Some of these images are from the cliff house tour and balcony house. I recommend experiencing it! It was special and we also got to see invasive wild horse that live in the park. I can only hope I will be finding my way back west later this year till then I will posting more from this awesome trip.
