shelfie sunday ‎ . ݁⋆ ۶ৎ ݁˖ . ݁

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! ݁⋆⭒˚.⋆
I spent most of mine finally cleaning, organizing and rearranging my bookshelves – something I both love and hate at the same time.

On the one hand, I absolutely love arranging my books and finding new ways to make everything fit and look nice. On the other hand, I’m never 100% satisfied with how they look, and I simply don’t have enough space for all of my books. ᴖ̈
Most of them has to live in boxes, and I always find it so difficult deciding which books get to move onto the shelves and which ones have to stay packed away for now.

But despite all the rearranging, there’s just something so comforting about being surrounded by books. A little corner filled with stories, characters I’ve loved, worlds I’ve gotten lost in, and so many more adventures waiting for me. ⋆˙⟡♡

What book is currently sitting on your shelf that you can’t wait to read? ◡̈

I just kept seeing this trend all over my fyp and finally decided I had to join ࣪ ִֶָ☾.

I think this trend is actually so sweet because you get to share all those little things that make you YOU – the things people might not necessarily know about you just from looking at your page.

So here’s a little glimpse into me beyond just the books I read 𓍢ִ໋☕️✧˚ ༘ ⋆📖

I feel like I could’ve added a hundred more things, but we’d be here all day, hahah.

What’s one thing you wish people knew about you? ₊˚⊹♡

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚛𝚟𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚎 𝙻𝚎𝚐𝚊𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚜: 𝙰 𝚂𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚝𝚢 𝚘𝚏 𝚃𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚜

Review · Part II of III

It’s the people who make Blairville feel like home, the ones whose stories stay with you long after you’ve turned the last page.

I love that these characters aren’t written to be perfect. They have flaws, struggles, contradictions and battles of their own.

I think that’s what makes them so compelling. There‘s so much more beneath the surface.

And then there’s the found family.

Because how am I supposed to be normal about a group of people who technically shouldn’t even be friends in the first place? Their families are enemies, their histories are tangled in conflict and the world gives them every reason to stay apart. Yet, they keep finding their way to one another.

And I think there’s something so beautiful about that. About the idea that family doesn’t always have to be something you’re born into; sometimes, it’s something you find, build and keep choosing.

Then there’s Mady Campbell.
I’ve already talked about how much Mady means to me and how deeply I see myself in her, so I won’t repeat everything. But I don’t think I’ll ever stop wanting the entire world for her.

Mady’s someone who has endured so much pain, someone who carries so much more than one person should ever have to carry alone.

And it hurts to watch her go through so much when all I want is for her to be happy. To be loved the way she deserves.
Apparently, my prayers continue to go unheard.

After everything this book put her through, I’m not emotionally prepared for what’s next.

At this point, I need Maezos to start loving her characters a little more, because WHAT DO YOU MEAN you keep putting them through even MORE pain? Do they ever get a break? Do WE ever get a break? Because I’m starting to think the answer to both questions is no.

And somehow, despite all the emotional damage, I keep coming back for more.

Because that’s the thing about these characters. They make you feel things. They make you worry, hurt, hope, question your own judgement and become far too emotionally invested.

And the person responsible for making me care this much?
Well. We need to talk about her. by @ninosstories

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚛𝚟𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚎 𝙻𝚎𝚐𝚊𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚜: 𝙰 𝚂𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚝𝚢 𝚘𝚏 𝚃𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚜

Review · Part I of III

There’s a particular kind of longing that comes with leaving a place that has always felt like 𝘩𝑜𝑚𝑒. And somehow, Blairville has become that place for me.

Every time I return, it feels like coming 𝘩𝑜𝑚𝑒. Blairville is no longer just a fictional town to me. It has become something I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words, no matter how hard I try. 𝙱𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚎𝚡𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚊 𝚠𝚘𝚛𝚕𝚍, 𝚒𝚝𝚜 𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚜, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚙𝚎𝚘𝚙𝚕𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗 𝚒𝚝 𝚖𝚎𝚊𝚗 𝚝𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚢 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚜𝚘 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝 𝚙𝚊𝚐𝚎𝚜 𝚒𝚗 𝚊 𝚋𝚘𝚘𝚔?

Finishing 𝙰 𝚂𝚘𝚌𝚒𝚎𝚝𝚢 𝚘𝚏 𝚃𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚝𝚘𝚛𝚜 left me with that familiar feeling all over again. The happiness of having been able to return, to lose myself in this world, to uncover secrets alongside the characters and experience every little bit of drama. And at the same time, the heartache of knowing that I would have to leave Blairville behind once more.

I wanted to devour this book in one sitting, but I also wanted to slow down, to savour every chapter, every moment, because I simply wasn’t ready to leave.

This time, we get to uncover even more of the secrets surrounding Blairville and its past. Pieces of the puzzle slowly begin to fall into place, only for new questions and mysteries to emerge.

The more we uncover, the more there is left to question.
And Maezos KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE‘S DOING.

She makes it impossible not to theorize, connect the dots and question every detail. Just when you think you’ve understood what’s really going on, you realize that you might have been wrong all along.

Suddenly, you’re questioning everything. Again.

And I love that. I love having more mysteries to unravel, more details to obsess over and more reasons to think about Blairville long after putting the book down.

And somehow, that‘s only one part of what makes this series so special to me.

Because the longer I stay, the more I realize it isn’t just the mysteries that keep pulling me back.

It’s the people. by @ninosstories

𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓻𝓮𝓽𝓬𝓱𝓮𝓭 𝓓𝓲𝓿𝓲𝓷𝓮 𓏲🪽˚. ˖ . ݁

There is no good without evil, no light without darkness, and no truth that exists without doubt. Sometimes, what we believe to be right is simply what we’ve never learned to question.

One of my favorite aspects of The Wretched Divine was the way it challenged the idea that everything can be divided into black and white. It reminded me that the truth is rarely as simple as we want it to be, and that sometimes, the things we have always believed in deserve to be questioned. Our own perception is not the only truth, and learning to see the world through someone else’s eyes can change everything.

I particularly loved how multifaceted the characters were. No one was entirely without flaws, even when it initially seemed that way. Every character carried their own struggles, secrets, past wounds and inner conflicts, making them feel far more complex than a simple distinction between good and evil could ever capture.

I loved the concept of angels, demons and humans caught somewhere in between, as well as the deeper ideas woven into the world itself. Combined with the writing style and atmosphere, it created a setting I genuinely enjoyed getting lost in.

However, the pacing wasn’t always consistent. The middle of the book felt quite drawn out at times, leaving me with the impression that the story wasn’t really moving forward. Then, towards the end, everything seemed to happen all at once.

Still, the ending left me with a whirlwind of emotions and so many new questions. It answered things I hadn’t expected while opening the door to so much more, leaving me incredibly curious about what’s to come.

Ultimately, The Wretched Divine was a story that reminded me that perhaps the most dangerous thing isn’t always evil itself, but the certainty that we know what good looks like. And sometimes, the most important thing we can do is question what we’ve always believed to be true.

Happy Threshing Day, riders! . ..𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָ་༘࿐🤍

I honestly don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words just how much this series and its universe mean to me. There’s just something about this world that has completely captured my heart, and every time I return to it, it feels a little bit like coming home.

And what better day to finally share my thoughts on Threshing Day than… well, Threshing Day itself?
– I mean, what other day would be more fitting?

I absolutely loved this book. I loved being back in this universe, loved the characters, the dragons, the atmosphere, the emotions, the chaos – honestly, I loved everything about it. It gave me that same feeling of being completely immersed in this world that I’ve come to love so much. ♡‎ . ݁⋆ ۶ৎ ݁˖ . ݁

So today, on Threshing Day, I’m celebrating this beautiful addition to a universe that means more to me than I could ever properly explain.

Happy Threshing Day, everyone! May the dragons choose wisely. ☆*⁀‧₊˚

𝓗𝓾𝓻𝓽 𝓟𝓮𝓸𝓹𝓵𝓮 is one of those books that left me with a feeling I didn’t quite expect: a little bit healed.

This book deals with heavy themes and mental struggles, and while some parts were genuinely heartbreaking, there was also something incredibly comforting about it. Somehow, the book itself gave me a sense of solace that stayed with me even after I finished reading.

Both characters are broken in their own ways, shaped by completely different experiences and struggles. And I think that’s what made their connection so special to me. They develop such a deep, tender and heartwarming understanding of each other. They truly see one another, and there is something so beautiful about finding someone who understands the parts of you that are hardest to explain.

Their connection was EVERYTHING!
At first, I was worried their relationship might be moving too quickly, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Their relationship unfolds slowly and naturally, becoming deeper, more vulnerable and more meaningful as they get to know each other. It was emotional, intimate and incredibly moving to watch.

The writing itself was easy to get into, which made the emotional moments hit even harder. And surprisingly, I never felt like the story dragged. If anything, I would have happily read more. There was definitely potential for even more backstory and exploration of the characters and their experiences – ɴᴏᴛ ʙᴇᴄᴀᴜsᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ғᴇʟᴛ ᴍɪssɪɴɢ, ʙᴜᴛ sɪᴍᴘʟʏ ʙᴇᴄᴀᴜsᴇ I ᴡᴀsɴ’ᴛ ʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ᴛᴏ ʟᴇᴀᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴇᴍ ʏᴇᴛ.

Hurt People is raw, tender, emotional and deeply human. It reminded me that sometimes two people don’t need to fix each other – sometimes being truly seen and understood can be healing all on its own. 𑣲⋆。˚ ⟡˖ ࣪

★ last – After 912321 by @amethyst.author and @authorscarbeckford completely pushed me to my emotional limits, it left me with a broken heart and some serious emotional damage… but honestly, in the best way possible. This book completely wrecked me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

★ now – I’ve just started Hollow Heathens by @authornicolefiorina and I can’t even tell you how excited I am to finally dive deeper into this world. The dark atmosphere, the mysterious vibes and the whole autumnal feel are already making this feel like the perfect read for my current mood. I have a feeling I’m going to get very, very lost in this one.

★ next – And next up is Blood and Betrayals by @ alexisrune and @ jeanetterose, which has already been sitting on my shelf waiting for me. I’ve heard SO many amazing things about this book, and knowing it’s supposed to be perfect for fans of Zodiac Academy has me even more excited to finally pick it up.

˖ .🤍 THE DUET IS COMPLETE. 𓏲🪽˚. ˖ . ݁

And just look at them together… I’m obsessed with how beautiful these two look side by side.

Now that both books are officially out, I finally get to see the complete duet sitting together on my shelf – and I genuinely don’t think I’ll ever get over how perfect they look.

Being part of this little ultraneon world from the very beginning and getting to experience these books alongside Lola and such a wonderful community has made this duet feel even more special to me. 🤍⊹ ࣪ ˖ ꒰ঌ ໒꒱

This story, this world, and these characters have completely taken over a little piece of my heart, and I already know they’ll stay there forever. I’m simply not ready to let them go and I think I never will be.

My heart is full, my shelf is prettier, and I’m once again completely unwell over these books. ִֶָ. .࣪ ִֶָ🪽་༘࿐

𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓕𝓸𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓗𝓸𝓶𝓮 ͙͘͡★

I genuinely don’t have the words for what this book did to me.

I hated the first few chapters. Not because they were bad, but because they were ripping my heart out. I felt sick to my stomach. So much pain, so much grief. There was a moment where I genuinely thought, 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.

And somehow… that’s exactly why I know this book is a fucking MASTERPIECE.

@ayelet_author, you’re a fucking genius.

I don’t think I’ve ever read a story like this before. The whole concept, the storyline, the way everything unfolds – it felt completely original to me. I thought I knew where this story was going after the first book. I was SO wrong.

And I already said this, but I can only repeat myself: your writing feels so incredibly real. It doesn’t feel like I’m reading about characters experiencing something. It feels like I’m right there with them, feeling it with them. And this book took that to a whole different level.

Watching what this story did to both of them broke something in me. They both carry the scars of what they’ve been through, just in completely different ways. And their connection? Soul-deep. So much pain, so many things standing between them – and still, 𝓈𝒽𝑒’𝓈 𝑒𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎𝓉𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝑜 𝓂𝑒.

This book took me in directions I never expected, with twists I genuinely didn’t see coming. I had theories, and some were right, but so much still managed to surprise me. Even the tropes I normally hate somehow worked because they fit the story so perfectly.

And the ending… My heart wanted something else. Of course it did. But realistically? I don’t think this story could have ended any other way. It was real. And that made it perfect for this story.

I closed the book and just sat there for a moment because I didn’t know what I was supposed to feel.

It broke my heart, and somehow I loved it for every single piece it shattered.

I know I’m going to be thinking about this one for a VERY long time.

I don’t know what the fuck just happened to me, but I know I loved it.

I didn’t like it. I fucking loved it.
