DAY 2: RUMBEK CENTER

Yesterday we succeeded in uniting the community through basketball but that is not enough. This was merely a demonstration of our commitment. Consistency is the key. DAY 1: RUMBEK CENTER

Yesterday we started our So Elite chapter for Lakes State starting in Rumbek Center. There are 10 states in South Sudan and 8 counties in Lakes State. Our mission is to unite all of South Sudan through sport. We will be training coaches and referees who will then in return train the children.

Many counties need courts or renovations. More children would be inclined to participate if they had shoes, a place to train, and a coach to teach them. The talent is eminent and the rise is inevitable! taken in Rumbek Center by @ninovisio

If Paris is an archipelago of cultures and identities, then the stage of ‘The One’ reveals itself as its center of gravity. The Eiffel Tower piercing the net, its silhouette entwined with the circle of the rim. Hands reaching toward this iron-on-iron composition, extending cosmic finger rolls after bruising shoulder bumps and behind-the-back combinations. Rhythms pounding through the air and echoing across the Game.

Reaching the individual summit within this grand dance of the Ville Lumière, painted in the colors of @quai54wsc, is no ordinary feat. L’unique. L’élu. L’élue. Le seul. La seule. It takes finding your own beat to become ‘The One’ in this capital. @k.djobet and @racky.cmr accomplish exactly that, in front of one of the most revered figures in French basketball: @nicbatum88.

Le Clash. You hear it in the name, a cultural collision shaped by the next generation. You feel it in every move, in bodies divided by the English Channel, yet united by the Game.

Inside Gymnase Jean Jaurès, the building breathes. Eyes everywhere. Packed balconies frame the faces of ballers defining the present, and the future, of French and British hoops beneath the shadow of the Jumpman.

The final buzzer reads 107–101 for the home side. But by then, competition has already given way to something bigger: a celebration of community.
