It didn’t quite hit me that @the__uninvited Invitational was over until the last few cars pulled out and flights took off these past few days... The post-event blues are so real, but as a lovely friend recently told me: Don’t be sad that it’s over, be happy that it happened 🤍 And that’s exactly how it feels closing out this year’s finale, incredibly grateful for all that unfolded. Grateful for every single person who poured their time, energy, and heart into making it what it was. It takes an entire movement — riders, brand partners, spectators and passionate people of the sport — to make something this special happen. Jess, Abby, Ben, and Carmen working alongside you all has been one of the most rewarding and inspiring experiences. This is just the beginning of a much bigger chapter. Thank you to everyone who attended, shot photos and videos, wrote stories, rang cow bells, painted faces (and bodies), screamed, cried, sprayed champaign, and everything else in-between. Going into this year’s Stir-Fry was heavier than ever. First and foremost, we are snowboarders — and the reverberations of great loss within the community as snowboarders were felt deeply. It made everyone hold each other a little tighter and made each moment mean that much more. Gathering together and being present filled my cup and heart to the brim. Forging new friendships and deepening existing ones is an experience that feels indescribable. Laughing over the silliest things (like an entire clay pot of margarita getting dumped on KVP), riding through snow or shine, and soaking up the buzzing energy of being in each other’s company — these moments will stay with me forever. It truly takes a village to create something special. Thank you to everyone who showed up for each other, and to the crew that helped everything run smoothly. a few caveats with sharing these thoughts… this is simply my experience of pregnancy and motherhood. pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are incredibly personal, and there is a wide range of realities. take what resonates with you, leave what doesn’t, and maybe take away a little more understanding for perspectives different from your own. things may be different in countries with stronger social support systems and cultures that better support families. but as it stands in america, there are moments where i genuinely don’t know how people do this without a partner or a community. even though our parents don’t live nearby, i don’t take for granted that i have a partner who supports me wholeheartedly, and a community of friends who have shown up for us in countless ways. not everyone has that, and i think about it often. by @nirvanaortanez

Frankie 💙💙💙 The past few weeks have been filled with so much love. Baby TV, dinosaur/kitten noises, neighborhood strolls, milk drunk, sleep deprivation, and a whole lotta poop. These things now consume our day to day and fill our hearts. Thank you to our family, friends, and neighbors for feeding us and lending support while we figure it all out.
