we had a fun week
homeschoolin & playin
the days away 🩵🐞🌼

i took the kids on a field trip
with our homeschool group
today — to the fire station

val and naiah were out of
their minds excited about
all the cool trucks

& on the drive home
val (4) said, “thank you so
much mama for taking us
to that awesome place!”

a morning in our homeschool!! ~*•

recently i was sharing in my stories
what we were up to that day &
i got 30+ messages asking
“how?!!!”

and really it’s
nothing crazy,
nothin fancy!

but it’s hard to find a rhythm
when you’re getting started
or when you add a new baby
to the family

or literally any change
happens at all!

so i hope sharing our rhythm
helps you find yours

i don’t love cleaning the kitchen
but i love how it feels to have
a clean kitchen

i don’t love scrubbing the bathroom
(h8 that one, low key)

but i love stepping in to a
shower that’s sparkling clean

i don’t love doing 500 million
articles of laundry

but i love being able to easily grab
cute jammie’s out of kids drawers
and tuck them in to fresh beds
with clean sheets 💛🧺

and now i need to log off
& get this house in shape
for a relaxing weekend

and i just know
i’ll be so glad i did

no shade to anyone
who has one and loves it!

i really wanted one of
those fancy calendars
for months and months

until i realized that
my family doesn’t even
remotely need it

and i didn’t even really want it
until i saw other people have it

(embarrassing but true)

so many things like this —
i think i need it until i realize
how much i just really don’t

& i start looking around
and realizing contentment
is so much more chic

than always thinking about
what i’m wanting

to spend & it stretched to

i don’t mean to be obnoxious but i do have to say i am obsessed!!!!

it’s just so cozy to be able
to watch a show on the couch
and when i don’t want it out,
just close it up!

easy peasy
best of both worlds

our kids know “show day”
is only on the weekend

except the occasional wild kratts
or veggie tales on a rainy day 🤞🏽

& i thought having a tv in the
living room would muddy that
understanding, but no!!

i have felt like our house
is missing something and

& your wife is a sahm —

& love coupons

plus lots of extra hugs
& kisses & attention,

i’ve loved him for 13 birthdays
& so happy i get to love him

sumn bout that man!!! ❤️‍🔥

i’ve been lovesick for him
since we were 18 & 19
years old

he had a baby face
his hair shaved short

today he turns 32
he has a mustache
and shiny brown hair
he pushes to the side

we were SO in love
& were warned that things
would change with time

and they have

old love isn’t as nerve wracking
or as thrilling as new love

but old love is deeper and truer
and time tested and truly,
*more* romantic

because he’s stayed as good
as he promised he’d be

& that kind of faithfulness
and stready love, well…

it makes a woman
thirsty 😍🤭❤️‍🔥
